@viweil I wouldn’t put too much stock in that article. The entire premise is suspect:
Acceptance rate is accepts divided by applications. There’s no way the author can know what the final app # will be. Thus the admit rate might DECREASE.
He says is that the aggregate number of acceptances will go up. But he has no crystal ball to know if the denominator won’t increase proportionally or not. So his “prediction” is based on pure speculation. His “conclusion” is baloney.
Very poor article in my opinion.
@curiousgeorgerp - - I recall the YDN article that you mention, but still suspect that the admissions office will want to increase their yield by taking more students than they suggested during the early admissions process.

Not going to lie; I probably would. Not to an extreme, but mostly out of disappointment. Yale’s grown on me even more these past few months.

Ya I can get into the portal. It says that the decision is posted on Thursday - no time listed
five of my friends got into harvard today and it’s made me so much more anxious for decisions, even though i know deep down that i’m probably going to get deferred
