yale school of drama

Hi
Currently I'm Junior in B.A. program
and I'm thinking applying Yale Graduate program Senior fall: M.F.A. Set design or Scene design.

So
Here is my question:
1. How hard to get in Yale school of Drama?
2. Is it true that they dont care about gpa? Like porfolio >>> gpa?

Thanks

You may want to post on the theatre/ drama majors forum.

Yale Drama School is very competitive. Most of my friends who have attended Yale Drama School were out working for at least a year or so after undergraduate school… although some are certainly accepted right out of undergrad.

Have you worked professionally in the summers yet? Have design credits and a solid portfolio? If you are also a visual artist, this work can be included

Check out URTA schools, UNCSA, NYU, BU, CMU, etc… to get a full sense of the range of programs out there, if you have not already done so.
