I got into IAS  anyone knows what the Facebook groups are called??

SDSE FAM !!!
Who’all going ?

Got into BBS!! Does anyone know if we get research opportunities/lab workshops or something during BBS?

Does anyone know how you check to see if Part 1 is submitted completely? I have green checks next to the Part-1 tabs, so does that mean that its submitted?

@curie555 I believe the second week focuses on a research project, and pretty much everything you said is stuff we’ll be doing?

Also help finding FB group~~~ (FMS)

Nevermind–I found it!

Yep, if you have green check marks in CampDoc in all the categories titled “Part 1”, then it has been submitted. @Rich123456

Do we have to submit that 100$ deposit (keys & prox card) for completing part one?

Hi! I was accepted in the IAS session. Unfortunately, I only received a 1,000$ scholarship and my family can’t afford it. Do you know if it’s really worth it? Or any tips for fundraising?

ahh why wont they add me to the fb group!

Same X’D

Does anyone know if there’s any way to get a grant on something because I want to go, but they didn’t give my family any financial aid and it’s to expensive.

Guys Idk what to do! YYGS PLE was always my first choice I really want to attend but they didn’t offer me a full -scholarship whereas Stanford Summer Institutes Legal Studies offered me a full and it’s also a week longer. Idk what to do :((

Definitely attend Stanford then!

hi! I’m planning to submit my application for YYGS next year but it doesn’t give me much information on the website :frowning: Could any of you briefly describe what is on the application form? and what grade average do you need to have to get accepted?

Honestly, it’s similar to applications for most colleges/camps/scholarships. It asks general questions about activities and your experiences. Then you have to complete the essays, and those can really help let them see everything about you that they can’t from the rest of the application. As for grades, there is no required GPA that I can recall. I was admitted to my first choice (IAS!) for 2017. My ACT was significantly lower than the average listed on the class profile (from taking it in April of my Sophomore year), but I am top of my class, so I don’t know exactly what they were thinking.
