And I wouldn’t worry about it too much (easier said than done!); my one good friend got rejected by YYGS and she got accepted by all Ivies… except Yale (but that’s beside the point lol)

I was waitlisted for SDSE. Quite frankly, I don’t really understand why. I just don’t get where I messed up. This is such a blow to my confidence. Is there any actual chance of me being accepted?

If you got waitlisted or rejected–don’t lose hope! Getting waitlisted/rejected from this program is NOT a good indicator of who you are as a person and how “good” you will be for college in a couple of years. Keep doing what you actually like to do, and all will come after–I hope even more acceptances come for you all

Got waitlisted to ASE but congrats to those who got in!
Since it looks like yygs is not going to happen for me and i’m not confident about getting into the other summer program i applied to, is there any recommendation for other summer programs that is still open?
Waitlisted for PLE. Does anyone know the chances of getting off/how many people are put on the waitlist?
@katnip523 definitely look into local programs in your area, like internships, volunteer opportunities, college classes, etc. You don’t have to go to one of these expensive pre-college programs to get into your desired school and have a successful future, so I recommend looking into smaller scale activities! Last summer I got rejected from the programs I applied to, so instead I took some math classes at a university in my city, and because of that I was exempt from some of the required core classes!
@siroscarwilde hey! I might attend, but it depends on if I got accepted to the other programs I applied to. This one is pretty pricey, but I’m definitely considering it. If I go it’ll be nice to already know another student!
