I've always taken the most rigorous courses available to me. My poor GPA is a result of my freshman and sophomore year not being taken seriously. Debate and football was where all my time went. I also had narcolepsy that wasn't fixed until now. There is a definite upward trend however, and I'm poised for a 4.0 this semester (2nd -Jr), bc I fixed the narcolepsy. I'm successful at debate and passionate about charities (I'm not just saying that like some people do)

Chances?

I can see that you have great character by what you are saying,
what colleges are looking for is that you will be able to be academically
succesful in their institutions, that you demonstrate character and integrity,
and that you show zeal for what you do.
I myself do LD so you can speak about the morallity and the nature behind it,
how you overcame your disease and how your athletics shape your life (I play
basketball and rather than saying that athletics build leadership I would say
that it builds discipline and consistency.) If you are able to pull off 2300+ SAT
and show academmic excellence in AP exams (even if you are not taking the class
at least self-study for a test) and able to make the acceptanc officers see you
the same way you see yourself then you will be accepted.
(P.S. National Forensic League district is next week, so prepare to qualify for nationals)
