yeah...its a chance me...thanks!

Hi, the title pretty much says it all so I'll get started!

UW GPA: 3.63 (not that great but upward trend in my GPA...last semester Junior year = 3.75 UW and 4.25 W)

W GPA: 4.04

Ethnicity: Indian (out of state)
School: private, very competitive, and I've taken the most rigorous courses possible (also I'm taking 4 AP's and 2 honors senior year if that makes a difference)

SAT: 2100 (750 CR 690 M 660 W)
SAT 2's: 690 physics 650 lit 620 ushist (i took all of these before my AP's as practice that's why they're so low)
AP's: AP Physics B (4) APUSH (5) AP Lang (5) AP Bio (3)

ACT: 31 (didnt study...planning to retake for 34+)

EC's:
Varsity LD Debate throughout high school...placed in the top 60 debaters at nationals...also 3rd in state
200+ hours volunteering as a teen counselor (teen lifeline)
80 hours as a tutor for children
NHS
SHS
school magazine artwork designer
Kino Border Initiative (went to mexico to work at a soup kitchen for 1 night)

some other small things but those^ are the big ones...i might also be starting a culinary club senior year so i'd be the president of that...hopefully it doesn't make it look like i'm trying to stuff my app senior year so i'm still debating on whether or not to make that a huge point...any insight would be helpful

and yeah, that's about it! I'm thinking of applying for bioengineering or bio major so if you could throw your thoughts on how I'd fare with the impacting that'd be great. If you think there's anything else I could add or do let me know! (please don't hesitate to give me bad news...i just want an honest "chance me")

I would say everything looks decent but your GPA might be too low for your intended major.
My friend with a GPA of 3.7 or so got into computer engineering and he had a similar SAT scores. And I would say try to think of all the EC’s, activities, and awards you have received throughout high school and list them out because when I tried filing out my application, I happened to miss lots of things I’d done (but I finally got everything down).
And I would say do the BEST on you personal statement though because I believe I got in partly because of my PS.

I’d say that you’re a little below average for incoming freshman with your current stats. Your SAT I is just ok, and your SAT II is low. EC’s and a great personal statement should help. I’ve heard of some academically mediocre students get admitted due to standout statements/EC’s and you’re at least kind of ok with the weighted GPA compared to them.

Basically if your academic stats stay about the same or worse ( 4 AP’s/ 2 Honors is a heavy load after all) then you’ll most likely need the EC’s/statement to pull you up.
