idk = i dont know

THANK YOU!!^ it took 6 months to get an answer, but better late than never.

My favorite story.

I was on a train from Edinburgh to London. I was waiting in line for the bathroom and this guy comes up to me and asks, "Is this the queue to the loo?" And I basically laughed in his face.

There are probably hundreds of words that differ from UK dialects and American ones. To say nothing of Australia.

"Wicked" is a New England thing. Specifically Boston and incredibly irritating.

British slang is more "mate" instead of "dude". "Snog" not "hook up."

I have an English friend who says "brill!" (=brilliant, awesome)... and a baby stroller/carriage is a pram. A crosswalk is a zebra crossing. :D

daft blokes

I say boot naturally. I have to put effort into thinking of what the American version (trunk) is. But I got it from Australia rather than England.

Oh and also shorts v. knickers. Or maybe that was just my uncle...

I love english accents. I really want one.

You can have mine....

shag instead of ****
bloke-dude
coach-car
trousers-pants
fag instead of ciggerate

i love english accents; i had one when i was younger, but then i came to the states and was "americanized". bleh...

British accents are soo hot and elegant at the same time.

American on left, English on right

Tennis Shoes- Trainers
Cleats- Boots
Alcohol- Alki
Naturally- Natch
Vagina- Axewound (Yes, I have heard it called that)
Idiot- git
Nonsense- cack, rubbish
Gay- Bender
A person from liverpool- Scouser
Beer- Ale

is there a reason why british cars have the driver's seat on the left?? It really irritates me when I see something like that.
