Year off after school

If you dont get into princeton, would you take a year off, do something creative and then apply again?

If I don't get into any school, I think I'll be forced to do that lol.
And at this point, with all these scary figures, I think that has a good chance of happening...

I have a friend who didn't get into her top, and only, choice school. She's taking a "year off" and will reapply next year. IMO, though, spending a year without any hardcore definite plans can turn into quite a shmess: You end up doing something you hadn't planned to do (like getting married :p) or you'll do nothing at all and just wonder from one creative project to the next. Not great...

Yea I wouldn't do it for just one school...but right now, if I only got into my least favorite, I don't think I'd go.

yeah. I fear that happening to me. I think travelling, working on my ECs, maybe taking Physics C, calc BC and maybe another AP along with all this might help.

CTC, you're probably just panicing right now. Just wait for RD decisions, and then make your choice.

yeah...thanks. I AM actually getting a little freaked out now, hearing of the number of apps, and the fact that there will be only 12 international BSErs admitted RD
