I've heard from many people that colleges don't think that highly of being on yearbook staff... It's my first year on staff and I'm a sophomore. I'm planning on continuing to stay on staff throughout the rest of high school. Any thoughts on this?

I think it’s a good EC if you continue to do it and work your way up to editor. It’s a time commitment with going to games, events, etc and taking pictures and it’s fun too. If you like it, keep doing it.

Is there such a thing as a “bad” EC? If you stay committed to it, I think it’s perfectly fine.

I think selling drugs would be a bad extracurricular, and even worse if you were really committed to it.

But seriously, the best extracurricular activities are the ones you enjoy, because that is where you will excel and take on leadership. That’s what colleges are looking for.

Hey, you could always pass it off as a business venture, hah.
I agree completely with nano, though. OP, you have nothing to worry about.
