So if you are planning to continue an EC during senior year, should you check off 12 also?

If you know you will get an honor senior year, like honor roll, should you check that or leave it off?

For honor rolls, if you've gotten different types of honor rolls, should you separate them or have it all under honor roll?

Yes you can check off 12th grade
As for honor roll…I’m pretty sure that doesnt count as an award lol

Ohh someone said it would be…

How do I remove it from the common app?!

Nvm I figured out how to remove them lol

I would count honor roll as an award/honor.

I would, and personally am, putting down Honor Roll as an honor.

Okay, now I’m at a crossroad.

Some people are saying yes to honor roll and others no. So what’s the best decision?

Here’s how I feel.

If no, it’s because the honor roll is insignificant and will have no affect in admission. They should already be able to tell by your grades/transcript.

If yes, it’s because it adds more honors to your list, and you might as well pad it, or you really don’t have much to start with (like me; only 2 small school recognition, one which isn’t even on my profile in the school website).

Am i right?

PS: If one of my award/recognition isn’t on the school profile, BUT I did get it, should I mention it? Or will colleges contact my school and see it wasn’t officially recorded and get mad or something?

Edit: If you did put honor roll, did you specifically write what type of honor roll or just honor roll in general?

Can someone answer the questions in my last post?

Especially the PS and Edit parts

I guess Honor Roll is like putting down NHS … i guess you can put it down if you have no other awards

Ok ya put honor roll, and ya you can but the other award…they rarely contact your school to confirm something unless its a very small school

I don’t think I will put it. It just seems unnecessary and colleges should be able to tell from the transcript/grades. It won’t make or break an admission so no point.

If you choose to include honor roll, I would not advise putting it for your senior year until you actually get it. It would seem a bit presumptuous.

I disagree with samd about Honor Roll necessarily being equivalent to NHS; while they may be equivalent in his high school, they are not equivalent in my children’s school, where students must have high grades, write an essay, have no disciplinary issues, have already completed significant community service hours and agree to participate in our chapter’s future service activities in order to be inducted in NHS.
