Great teacher and conselor recs, and a pretty darn good essay if I say so myself

Yeah I know the scores aren't great but my parents are convinced class rank/gpa/extra currics and being in IB will balence out the scores, I on the other hand have a feeling I should wait fot RD. Please someone post something that convinces either me or my parents to go one way or the other

i emailed admissions and she said the rule is only apply EA if your abover last years average for all categories. You are for everything except ACT (average was about 31.5 or somethin) so I would say no... but hey I got a 31 on my act and im still applying early lol

I would say no as well. Your rank is good and I still think you are going to have a good shot at ND, but it may be worth seeing how those tests go, possibly giving the tests another shot, and applying RD. RD will just give you more time to ensure that the application you turn in is the absolute best you can do.

Nice GPA... wOw

RD....Good luck ( I think u got a good shot!)

You've got some very good qualifications. One suggestion I'd have is to shorten the laundry list to the stuff that matters most. To me, a list of a dozen very potent items is far more powerful than a very long list which includes things both very potent and those which mean less.

I would not include any of those recognitions by Who's Who and some of the others, which are sent out to pretty much everyone in the range of application for ND. Not sure what some of the others are, but that one sticks out because everybody gets one; and it seems more geared to selling books and logo items than anything else.

Also, I wouldn't include all the line items you did for volunteer hours--some of those are extra-curricular. For instance, the Model UN sounds fascinating and is impressive, but you've included it twice; it is an extra-curricular. The volunteer work at camp, on the other hand, is great volunteer stuff, which deserves all the prominence you give it.

You've got great stuff to show there, I'd just make sure you organize it well, to enhance its presentation.

I know a lot of people send in supplemental lists, as the online app space for extracurriculars and volunteer stuff is limited. I personally think you are better off to fill every online app space they give you, and find a way to make every single line item as potent as it can be.

Good luck!
