Yes...the typical rivalry between UCLA and USC: Come in all fellow Bruins and Trojans!

Hello! I am currently a senior in high school wondering which college I should commit to. I have narrowed down my list to, as you can probably tell, UCLA and USC! I feel really fortunate and lucky to be a part of either school, but I just cannot decide which college fits my interest! First of all, I’m planning to major in Bio and prepare myself for Pre-Med like many of you guys. I received great financial aid from both schools, but USC is still costlier in my case. I attended Bruin Day, and I loved the campus and the overall vibe of UCLA. I also visited USC, and I like the close-knit, family-type of feeling I get from USC as well. Currently, I’m worried about the high competition level among the STEM major students at both schools. To those of you who actually attend either school or are well informed about Pre-Med @ UCLA or USC, please leave a comment below! I really appreciate your guys’ help – thanks in advance  :)>-
Btw: personally, I am not the extremely outgoing type, but I like meeting new people and enjoy a family-like atmosphere with my friends.

Oh, I’m also from Northern California, if that helps at all.

Pre-med classes will be large at either school. Check their class schedules.

My niece is a premed at UCLA. So far so good, she is a work hard and play hard type of kid. From your post it sounds like you want to BeRUINS.

Thanks for the replies! Are any of you guys informed about the competition levels among the students majoring in Bio/Pre-Med at UCLA or USC?

Premeds are gun-ho at any university. are you sure you want to be premed?

Yes!
I’m just trying to ask around so that I won’t have regrets later… But both schools are very prestigious and known for it’s academic rigor, which is why I can’t solve my dilemma…
I also heard there are around 300 students for most of the freshman classes studying Bio? Is this true?
And my cousin who attends USC has a Bio major roommate and he said the professors at USC really give a lot of guidance to their students and internship opportunities, etc etc

The class schedules at each school will show you the class sizes.

Okay! Thanks for the advice. Feel free to add more comments guys! anything helps
