I'm planning to send in my application this weekend for University of Michigan BUT I also plan on taking the Oct Sat and Oct ACT. If I indicate that I'm taking the two OCT tests, would I have the option to send them the scores AFTER I look at the scores first? Or if I don't indicate that I'm taking the two Oct tests, would I be able to send them the scores after I look at the scores first? I'm just nervous that I might actually do worse than my first scores since I haven't studied for these tests in a looong while.

No, if you look at them first, you probably won’t be considered for early response. I read somewhere that they specifically want you to indicate U of M as a recipient of your scores the day you take the test.

It won’t matter if you do worse though, U of M only looks at the highest test score. If you completely bomb the test, you can, within the next few days, go on the ACT website and take U of M off the list of recipients. Not sure if you can do this with SATs.

Yeah it won’t hurt you to send them even if they do end up being worse (which doesn’t usually happen) because they only consider your best score.

Just one more question if anyone doesn’t mind answering. Should I send BOTH my Act (31) and Sat (1930/2400) scores to Umich? because my ACT score is significantly higher I’m afraid that my SAT might decredit my application a bit.

Sending both scores won’t hurt you but if it were me I would only send the ACT score because it is clearly stronger and sending your SAT would probably only be a waste of money.
