Where do they find these people? They treat sex and parenthood like it is a freaking game of checkers!

How they treat each other is not the real issue.....how they treat the children they create IS. All I have to say is........this is perhaps not new but w/ science and cheaper testing the game has become more refined.

The worst part is shows like Jerry Springer when Jerry goes "you are NOT the father" and the dude gets up and gets in the woman's face and goes "SEE?! I TOLD YOU B****! DAT KID AINT MINE! WHAT WHAT! HELLLZ YEAH!"

Our american "culture" is so pathetic.

If you are watchin it you are supporting it. I know what you mean but why watch what you don't like about our culture? Part of the motive to test is the necessity to declare a father to obtain welfare benefits.

I've never heard of this before. Do people seriously do that?

Do what? Make a legal action to persue the male taking a DNA exam for paternity? YES

Go on tv about it?

What passes as entertainment in the USA on TV is very much "real life" and this is the lowest common denominator. Darwinism in practice is the way I see it.

That's really crazy. A couple years I caught one of those "talk" shows on tv while I was channel-surfing. It was truly appalling.

Hey we breed 'em like sheep over here. The amazing part is that enough folks watch the shows and thus sponsors are easy to come be and the programming continues as it makes money. We don't kill the 7th generation tho so they are millions of 'em.

That's one of the things that gives Americans a bad name overseas.

You mean you don't think that all Muslim families aspire to our democratic society? Shock Shock

Not too pick on them.....I know that this is just one societal factor that makes others hate us.

I think everyone in the world should aspire to be part of this culture. Shame on them for not wanting it.

A girl that i know from school was on there (17 years old)

The ones where they have the drag queens/women and you have to guess whether they're a really woman or really a man...hahaha those are the best.

I don't know, I think the whole phenomenon of reality and trash tv is really interesting. It says more about us than the people actually on the show.

I think it's all a waste of time. It's garbage that, in my opinion, shouldn't be on TV. It is part of the reason why, even though I have 115 or so channels to watch, there are times when there is nothing worth watching.

You know what I can't stand. Those really dumb role reversal ones. Where the guy is supposedly pregnant, and they try to convince the girl that they are the mother of the baby lol. Only Jerry Springer...only Jerry

Yeah it's even worse when the women (usually morbidly obese) get into catfights and flash the audience. How classy.

And hazmat, I don't watch it on a regular basis at all...i've maybe seen the show 3 times when I've stayed home sick.

I dated a girl who later appeared on Jerry Springer. I worked with another chick who has on Springer, and my buddy was on the show also. Springer is all fixed, they fly the people into Chicago, give them time in a limo, night on the town, etc. Then they just say whatever the producers tell them. The Maury Povich show was what I saw today before work, and they had all these paternaty tests on the air. I am sure that the potential "fathers" find out for the first time right there. Any woman who appears on that show should have their baby taken away on the spot. (if it is truly real, people will do anything to be on TV)

Do they even still play Jerry Springer? I haven't seen it in a long time, not that I really care much for it anymore. I used to watch it when I was little...haha, yeah, so the novelty of the whole thing has kind of warn off. The whole Jerry hype is gone...no more "Jerry!! Jerry!! Jerry!!" haha..
