Ah, I see! Which Whitman did you choose, btw?

I think I did either A Noiseless Patient Spider or What I Heard From the Learn’d Astronomer for that project. I did eventually do both, though.

It’s amazing how much the curriculum differs depending on school. AP Lit is strictly a senior only class at my school :P

^It is pretty strictly a senior-only class at mine too but I was allowed to take it as a sophomore because my freshman teachers recommended me, I submitted writing samples to the teacher and counselors, et cetera. :P

Lit is a senior class here too. (I’m taking it right now, actually.) I took Lang last year.

Hahaha, we don’t even have APs! I am an international though, so that isn’t really a surprise. I had to self-study lang!

Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley.

^^ Do you have IB then? Or neither?

Just curious…who else on this forum is an IB diploma candidate?

I’m an IBer… Prospective IB failure due to my lack of writing (EE, TOK, CAS XD)

i will be entirely honest, i dont really know whats an IB degree. i know that it stands for international baccalaureate but i dont really know the whole program.

please someone explain this to me? XO

i grew up in the pacific practically my whole life and didnt get to this country until my junior year in HS XO so i will plead ignorance.

Movie: A BEAUTIFUL MIND (Come on, it’s about a Princeton grad student! And it’s about MATH!)

No, I’m not an IB student either, just take the regular non-english program at my school!
So I thought they would appreciate some AP scores to compare. And studying for the APs was fun too!

Haha, I think a lottt of people put A Beautiful Mind!

Also, best website = MATHLINKS! Any other MathLinkers here?

@neonseri: IB is just a program of advanced classes, kind of like AP, but it encompasses much more of your school experience. All of your academic classes and even some of your electives have to be IB classes if you want to get the IB diploma at the end of high school (the claimed value of that is that it shows colleges you’re capable of doing high-level work). In addition to taking exams like at the end of AP classes, all IB students also have to complete an independent research assignment and do 150 hours of community service, among other miscellaneous tasks.
