If I were to be completely honest in my responses about my favorite book and movie (my intention ahaha), I would end up with a movie set at Harvard and a book written by a Harvard professor.
I was wondering, how bad would that look? should I choose other books/movies? Because I'm not even applying to H, but does this coincidence makes me look, I don't know, obsessed? Or not interested enough in Princeton?

So long as the book or movie is NOT Harry Potter, anything you choose is okay.

(I think all Admissions Officers at every college in the world are too HP’d out.)

I put my both my favorite movie AND my favorite book as Harry Potter lololol

I also put a Harry Potter quote and a Sleeping with Sirens song as my favorite recording!

^^ I’m not sure how Princeton feels about HP, but this from the College of William & Mary Admissions blog from several years back: [W&M Blogs You Never Get a Second Chance to Make a First Impression or How I Continued Venting and Learned to Despise the College Essay](http://blogs.wm.edu/2011/07/15/you-never-get-a-second-chance-to-make-a-first-impression-or-how-i-continued-venting-and-learned-to-despise-the-college-essay/)

Oh, I didn’t write a Harry Potter essay! It just so happens to be my favorites series.
To OP, just put what your favorite book and movie are. Who cares if they are somehow related to Harvard? The admission officers certainly won’t.

That’s great. Thank you everyone!

I think HP would be fine just don’t make a big deal out of it. Same with the “Harvard” media…don’t say “even though this is set at Harvard…”
