You fav movie/book/recording...

<p>but its true! haha. Pandora has some character parallels between fruits basket (I think you said you like that series?) though the plots are totally different…</p>

<p>DN gives you 2 major characters with intriguing, well-developed personalities…although I dooooo always recommend the subbed versions - for some reason the english voices always sound awkward to me</p>

<p>best line of the series:
[YouTube</a> - I’ll take a potato chip - and eat it!](<a href=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaoy1QKxGQs&feature=related]YouTube”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaoy1QKxGQs&feature=related)</p>

<p>Aw, but Pandora isn’t on DVD yet? :frowning: I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it once it comes out! </p>

<p>Oh, and did you like Fruits, then? Who are your favorite characters?</p>

<p>I don’t really care if the English voices are awkward; I’d probably still prefer the dub. :stuck_out_tongue: I just like being able to watch the beautiful animation without worrying about reading the subs. XD</p>

<p>You know, I watched Fruits Basket dubbed when I usually watched series subbed. I didn’t like the voice actors very much at first, but I got used to it by the end. :)</p>

<p>I like their voice actors; I think they all fit the characters very well. Did you watch Ouran subbed or dubbed? I know a lot of people complain about Ouran’s dub, but I thought it was great (except for Caitlin Glass…her voice is so annoying.)</p>

<p>No, its not - actually I dont think they’ve even made an english version yet, its still pretty new in Japan.</p>

<p>Aaah I dunno, it was so long ago. Actually i think it was the first manga I ever read…I think I liked Haru, Shigure and Yuki and Ayame (their interactions were great)</p>

<p>Yeah, thats very true, the words can be distracting. I’ve been leaning Japanese so I’m getting to the point where I dont need the subs much, though (motivation to study, I suppose haha!)</p>

<p>Ayame’s my favorite from Fruits! <3 I also love Shigure, Tohru, Yuki, and Haru. :D</p>

<p>Ah, awesome that you’re learning Japanese. How long have you been studying it?</p>

<p>

that is one of my MAIN reasons why I want to start watching DN asap :p</p>

<p>For a little over 2 years now, though I’ve slowed down lately :s I can’t take it in school (not offered) so I study on my own, but I’m hoping to continue in college</p>

<p>Word: Labyrinthine
Book: The Shadow of the Wind - Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Memento: Baltic Sea amber necklace from late grandmother
Movie: Amelie</p>

<p>lol. I heard aobut this english version of live-action DN, with ZAC EFRON acting as RAITO/LIGHT. What is this madness I hear.</p>

<p>^^ no wait, it totally works XDDD he resembles him so much!</p>

<p>I hate High school musical just as much as the next person, but he’s actually a pretty good actor. And then, you have to consider that if Efron signs on, this movie becomes a pretty big deal, it could become a high-budget project, and that would be amazing :o I so hope it happens!!!</p>

<p>Gah, you hate HSM?? I love it! The HSM movies are all in my top 10. :D</p>

<p>hahaha wow… =.=
I actually didn’t put ANY thought into my responses…
book: The Outliers
movie: Avatar
website: facebook.com
two adjectives: quirky, atypical
recording: Hotel California (Now that I think about it, I enjoy Superstition more…but oh well… Already sent mine… :S)
memento: my wallet
inspiration: Korea (should’ve said South Korea…:()
word: support
line from a movie or book (and title): “Live or die, make your choice” - Saw</p>

<p>… hahahaha… yea, there’s no way I’m getting in, considering my essays too xD</p>

<p>I’m by no means an anime person, but when I was eleven or so I was obsessed with Blue Seed, which no one has ever heard of hahah.</p>

<p>Copy/pasted from my supplement:</p>

<p>Book: ‘Sophie’s World’ - Jostein Gaarder. Reading this when I was
twelve really sparked a previously unexplored interest in
philosophy, particularly existentialism. Rereading it when I was
old enough to understand it lead me to take a closer look at my
life and the simple gift of existence.
Movie: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for sporadic viewing,
and the musical Rent on every other occasion.
Website:canterusa.org. The Communication Alliance to Network
Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses is a national organization that
aids in rehoming and rehabilitating ex-racehorses, which is one of my passions.
Two Adjectives: I’ve been called tenacious, which, to me, is one of the greatest
compliments I could receive. I’ve also been called a geek more
times than I can remember - but I tend to view that as a
compliment too!
Recording: It changes almost daily, but right now I can’t stop listening to
‘Defying Gravity’ from the Broadway musical Wicked. Idina
Menzel is one of my idols!
Memento: There are three long thatches of coarse hair sitting atop my
desk – one, a dusky black and deep red, another, a fiery
chestnut, and the third, a rich, deep brown. These mementos
from the three wonderful horses I’ve had the honor of owning
bring back floods of memories with just a glance – they’re
always enough to put a smile on my face.
Inspiration:
Word: Spontaneity! Not merely because it has a nice ring to it - I truly
believe life can be a series of fantastic adventures, if you let it.
Quote: “I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.” - The Great Gatsby by F.
Scott Fitzgerald.</p>

<p>I like my quote:</p>

<p>“We must meet this threat with our valor, our blood, indeed with our very lives to ensure that human civilization, not insect, dominates this galaxy now and always!” - Starship Troopers (the movie)</p>

<p>^Wow, you went all out!!</p>

<p>Your answer for “adjectives” was really cute, by the way.</p>

<p>Oh, and I meant it for Ivy_Equestrian, by the way. :P</p>

<p>Haha, thank you! My general style is to ramble on about everything, as evidenced.</p>

<p>I kind of wish I explained my answers more, but I didn’t know if it was looked upon unfavorably or not. Darn; I wish I had been bolder, like you! :D</p>
