So i am really pretty curious about the admissions process this year....does anyone know if Bowdoin releases ED statistics and info?

hi, hope we can be in Bowdoin in class 2013 ^ ^ you guys are awesome. I am applying to schools and all are RD >.< So i must sit and wait till April. Dang!
Now, i am still working on the application to Bowdoin. Keep my fingers crossed :X:X
Congrats anyone who got accepted to Bowdoin ED :X:X and good luck all RD applicants ^ ^

zfox- I'm really curious about the stats too. I'm sure they will release them eventually, but it will probably be after the RD because they do the "number accepted who were deferred" thing. Last year's stats are in that big black book thing they sent for promo on the very last page, but you probably knew that.

Hey, I'm new to this board too! How was everyone's christmas/holiday?
Artemis_D: I'm from California too, but I live in Bakersfield, its like 2 hrs away from LA
and I also play violin and viola to all the orchdorks out there. haha
Where else are you guys applying?

Hey! I applied everywhere RD because my parents were NOT into the whol ED thing which was really annoying. really really wanted to apply ED Bowdoin. Shame.

Anyways, I'm from London, UK. Its all good fun here.

I'm freaking out about having to wait so long for decisions though. Anyone else who applied RD feel the same?? Just curious, trying to make myself feel less neurotic after the admissions process.

Maxie, I CANNOT stand the waiting. It's only been what, two days since I finished up with all my applications, and I'm already tired of it. Hopefully I'll go back to school and be busy enough to take my mind off of the whole college thing (after all that, there's still high school to consider!). I don't know if even that's going to work, though, because I have friends who have already gotten in to college (applied EA and stuff), so I'm happy for them--but at the same time very aware that I haven't found one of those beautiful acceptance letters in the mail yet, and won't until the end of March. :( At least I know that there're bazillions of people out there worrying about the same thing...

As soon as I stopped freaking about my application being turned in on time when I turned it in, I started to worry whether Bowdoin would accept.

This is going to be an agonizing 3 months.

It wont be that bad....you will most likely think about it from time to time over the first two month...and then abouut 2 weeks out you will go nuts!!
the last couple weeks...especially when people started to hear about their ED/EA schools is when i was goiing ccrazy

Heyy! I'm from Cali too! I'm like a little under an hour away from San Diego. I had an interview over the last weekend for Bowdoin. It was sooo great!
I stopped stressing about where I'm going to get in...I guess because I worried about it for so long and when I submitted my apps, I just stopped worrying. I guess that's good =) Bowdoin and Bates are my favorritte schools. I got accepted to UCSB, UC Davis and UCI already but I really really don't want to be stuck in a large public california school =(

What do you guys plan on majoring in? I'm going to be a chem major

As of right now, I'm an English Lit/writing person at heart. But anything's possible.

Lala how did you hear from the cal schools already? I thought they didn't let us know until March???

Oh from elo or whatever it's called program. If you're in the top 4% of your high school class from a california school, schools like ucsb , uc davis, uci and ucr accept some of those people early. Depending on your grades and etc...
