Did anyone get an email about honorable mention or merit awards?
You’ll want to check the website for it- not wait for an email. Anything that doesn’t say distinction winner is probably merit or honors. The pool looks way smaller than last year but ehhhhh- what can you do.

It appears that the system has changed this year. There are Winners (no longer merit or HM), and Winners with Distinction, which is what formerly was Finalists. So all Winners are listed, and the Winners with Distinction are shown with that title on the list with the whole group of Winners.

Have you received any emails from young arts today? Or you just went to website to check.
Sadly there is nothing for me this year. Definitely reapplying though! Also if there’s any writers or any other discipline here who want to set up a server or group chat for the next application round let me know. I really regret not getting more feedback so I’d love a group like that to help for next year.

Oh, I’m sorry- I’m a parent of a finalist from 2022, not a current applicant.
I did receive an email blast from YoungArts that announced that the winners were posted to their website though, because I am still on their email list.
Got nothing. They said some non winners could get feedback, when they will anounce that? Or just email?
hey guys!! I applied two years in a row and got nothing (you might have seen me in previous threads lol), and this year I actually did win, in poetry!! haven’t got the email yet though. hang in there, there’s always hope for next yr (and remember it’s subjective)!!

Received feedback two years ago (in Feburary). They said: “You are receiving this feedback because you are in a position to reapply this upcoming year and you have made it to the last round of adjudications in your arts discipline.”

I would actually really like that. I do theatre and visual arts but it’d be wonderful to be in a group with other artists where we can build each other up!

Yeah, my daughter heard from some friends it was online, then email much later in the day. She is winner, not ‘with distinction’ You all probably know, but when people look next year maybe they can reference this. Congrats everyone.
