I know this award is prestigious. I am worried that my writing is not good enough. How hard is it to be a finalist to go to Miami in January. Are there previous finalists here?

What colleges like this award?

buump.......

bumpity bumpp

no youngArts previous finalists here?

It is very difficult to be a winner. They only select 150 students nationwide across all the artistic disciplines. It is worth applying and it will be valuable to be a semifinalist or honorable mention. And if you win, it will be a terrific opportunity for you. If you are a finalist it will give a boost to your application, but it will not guarantee admission to an Ivy League school if that is what you are hoping for. Good luck to you!

It's incredibly difficult because it's part of the Presidental Scholars in the Arts program. Definitely apply if you love writing, and don't be afraid of the competition. I can't promise you you'll win, but you have to apply. It's not like your writing automatically gets worse if you aren't accepted.

thanks, i know its super difficult but im just going to apply to give it a shot.
