My English teacher asked my class to write a 20 chapter autobiography. There are only two required chapters, "dinner at my house" and "pre-me".

I was just wondering if you had to write an autobiography what would you include? It is killing me, i just feel like my life is not interesting at all!

So what would you include in your autobiography?

A comprehensive personal history and a full elucidation as to what current philosophical positions you hold (I could write books on this topic alone, hahahahaha).

How long do your chapters need to be though? And why 20 chapters
; seems like an odd number to randomly pick, especially when the teacher doesn't seem to have specified what those chapters should be about -- why not ask 'em for ideas?

I'll have to write a 50-75 page autobiography next semester for one of my classes; shouldn't be too hard, lol, only problem is I'll need a couple dozen citations (coming from Catholic sources, no less - bleh).

On a side not, I'm so going to pseudo-plagiarize and title my chapters
"Why I am So Smart"
"Why I am So Witty"
"Why I Write Such Excellent Essays"
etc. etc. etc.

lol, why worry about the whole shebang now then? I'm sure you'll go over potential ideas in class, and you'll only really need to come up with one ingenious topic at a time, which you will always be able to run by her if you want approval.

I find it really easy to write about myself lol, especially when compared to research papers and the like -- I'm sure it's similar for others, too; don't sweat it!

^ Lol yeah, listen to moodrets, because he's written like a hundred personal essays [unlike me! I also have a lot of trouble writing about myself] and they're all consistent and probably factual lolol. Hahaha. Anyway. Good luck on your autobio :] Because I have no advice at all.

We KIND OF did something like this as our post-AP Lit project. We had to choose 4 anythings (a quote, a song, a story of some kind, anything) and write a little blurb as to how it describes a piece of what we are. And then we had the cover/intro. It was a very fun project.
