Mind sharing what expresso machine you got?
SB Mocha Frap with whipped cream and a Puppiccino
SB Nitro Cold Brew
I grew up drinking coffee, like since age 6 and I love it; I’m not a fan of overly sweet things, so starbucks drinks are too sweet for me. If it’s Starbucks I’ll take a grande strawberry/acai refresher with half lemonade, half water. I wouldn’t normally spend that much on watered down lemonade but since you’re buying and an order of egg white bites please! We have some great local shops, so if I’m meeting someone I’ll usually get a nonfat hot mocha, light on the sweet.
We have a fabulous local coffeehouse here. My usual order is a large decaf latte. While I like a vanilla latte, I stopped getting them because of the extra sugar and calories and now they taste too sweet for me.
In the summer I make a container of decaf cold brew that is wonderful and so smooth I don’t need sugar in it, just milk or cream.
At home I have decaf constant comment tea every morning. But I schedule days when I can hit the local shop on a way to a meeting
Love DD’s coffee!
I’ll have a half double decaffeinated half-caf. With a twist of lemon.
Who else immediately recognized that line?

What line?
Black coffee…
In a perfect world Kenya AA coffee, but usually Dunkin’
We stopped for diesel a week or so ago and I went into a coffee bar just down from it. I got the best latte that I’ve had for ages. It was probably the 2% milk
I rarely get anything sweetened, but the salted caramel cream cold brew that I bought a few times after my OT appointments was wonderful. Until I looked at the calories. A plain coffee Frappuccino is just fine.
My Nespresso machine has a steamer wand, so I typically have coffee or lattes at home.
Grande skim 1 pump hazelnut latte when I’m out and about. Or venti same but with an extra shot of espresso.
I have a fancy espresso machine at home and I make 2 lattes most every day. I just use a “whisper” (someone in a coffee shop used that term) of either hazelnut or vanilla.
Meanwhile, my husband drinks black Starbucks sumatra from the $10 special of the day pot I got after the 30 YO one finally bit the dust.
I’m easy to please–I drink black coffee. I try to drink one cup per day, but if I am going to drink more, I’ll have black decaf. The headquarters of Dunkin is in my state and DD is everywhere. In a pinch, I’ll drink it, but I preferred a locally owned place that closed during the pandemic. I now go to a place called Cafe Nero (it’s a European chain that has stores in the US). It’s near an area where I go to shop and where my H has his office.
Home brewing coffee can be a rabbit hole, especially with grinders. Many claim the grinder is by far the most important tool, and it is not uncommon for the grinder to the most expensive item . I don’t have experience with grinds for pour over, but generally Baratza makes good grinders on the low end of a very wide price scale.
Here is an overview video on grinders generally . . .
Well…if we are getting the best coffee we have ever had…
I would like my coffee from Bourbon Coffee. The main shops are in Kigali RWANDA, but there is one in DC. Rwandan coffee is excellent….very smooth. Best I’ve ever had.
Hmmmmm…
@WayOutWestMom’s post reminded me that DH sometimes stops at Black Rock Cafe were I will have a small, iced, decaf Mexi Mocha that tastes like chocolate milk with cinnamon rather than coffee. I do like that, but it’s sweet so I don’t have it very often.
Very fun to read all the coffee combos. And I LOVE having an unlimited imaginary budget for you all!!
I also love a good chai latte. I don’t like it when the chai is too strong or…artificial tasting.
Finally I’ll have to say that a vacation specialty for our family is a Tim Hortons iced Capp… hits the SPOT in the summertime! Artificial as heck I’m sure but it’s so good!
