Wait listed at Purdue. Initial reaction, post a thread on CC. Then go and watch Field Of Dreams. 
While I was waiting for BC to come out, I was talking to my friends. After three hours or waiting, I gave up and went to eat dinner. After I came back, both of my friends with higher stats than me said they got waitlisted. I was like ok, I probably got rejected. Then I got the email, I WAS IN!!! I ran around the house three times, hugged my mom for 5 minutes, then I drove to my dads work (20 min away) to tell him, I was too happy to make the phone call!!!

I literally spent the next 30 minutes staring at my screen in disbelief!
I really didn’t have a huge reaction to my decisions so far. Waiting for the page to open though I could feel my heart beat quickening…
Nearly 40 years ago…… I was thrilled to get a certain rejection. My dad really wanted me to go to a particular school and I absolutely did NOT want to go there under any circumstances! I applied just to appease him, then was greatly relieved to get the rejection! My brother accused me of sabotaging my chances by submitting a terrible application, but nope. Too much pride for that. I submitted the best app I could and just didn’t get accepted. When my sweet dad was so sympathetically trying to “console” me, I tried to explain that I didn’t want to go there anyway, but I don’t think he believed me. He took me out for ice cream.
