lol yeah, I did summer college a few times and now that I'm at Cornell, it's amazing how different it is (co-ed floors, weather, social life, studying, etc)

You guys might want to check out your application self-service. It now tells you when the decisions will be released for sure.

So...next weekend will be the best or worst weekend of my life. any thoughts?

in addition to bumping, I've already finished 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' and what to know what you guys thought about it.

I feel as though JK just cannot get away from Harry Potterverse...it's made her so much money and international fame, and it seems as though she just keeps adding to it. I bet she'll publish 'Hogwarts, A History (the revised edition by Hermione Granger)' next.

Is that already out??? I need to wiki it... how was it gracie? Should I get it? I literally just watched the first Harry Potter movie today lmao

I'm glad she can't... any fiction novel she ever publishes will be compared to Harry Potter, and no one will think it's better.
THAT WOULD BE AMAZING

I was disappointed with it. It was a nice little book, but considering all the hype for it, I expected better.

I'd love Hogwarts, A History. Like...a huge textbook. I would definitely read it cover to cover.

Yeah, I agree. I read it yesterday. I liked it and all, but it seemed awfully short and definitely left something to be desired for the hype that was built up.

I would also totally read Hogwarts, A History.

109 hours left! I'm pretty sure I will do summer college at Cornell if I'm accepted...Or perhaps at Berkeley/Stanford? Stanford is on quarter system though so I think it would be harder to transfer the credits? I'm kinda confused, really. ^-^

Chandler: that's so funny! i was gonna show HP 1 to the kids I babysit for (but they chose Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella instead.) I liked it for the fact that the stories were interesting and cute, and Dumbledore's commentary on it was great, giving some more insight to the potterverse (cause not all of us read The Leaky Cauldron religously...) It was short, but I enjoyed it and I would suggest it.

I would totally read Hogwarts, A History. Or maybe she'll write about the Four Founders, which would be cool, too...

Good luck from the Brown ED board! :)

Hmm I might buy it then, yeah I don't read the Leaky Cauldron because I just don't have time to do both CC and that... but if I ever get bored or whatever I should check it out.

Brown ED'ers are lucky, the applicant pool shrunk!

5 days guys... when is that email going to come out?

4 days, actually!

Leaky Cauldron? I prefer MuggleNet.

Email should come in the next day or two. The results are released at 17:00 EST, the 11th of December, Year 2008 Anno domini.

Both are good. I haven't been on either for ages though

Thanks for that, Echo :)
Darn I was convinced it was B.C.E., hopefully I dated everything right on the app.

omgomgomgomg am i screwed? is cornell going to automatically reject me for putting BCE instead of CE? (joke, btw)

Well, depending on what calendar we're going on, we might be dead by the time we're juniors in college anyways. Gregorian says we live on...but those darn Mayans...

That'll be a comforting thought for when I get rejected.
At least college won't matter :P

im in! how about you guys?

I'm not!
Deferred.
