spore has taken up a good portion of my life

accept, hahaha yeah man all the tension up here in the north heh :P

yo OUAC, definitely, but most canadian unis are easy to apply to, and get in pretty much :P hahaha yeah same here, classes are super competitive, EVERYONE studies like crazy O.o i've been slacking too much, and the apps to scholarships take up so much time, along with SATs lol man all day i complain to my friends how life sucks so much XD and Cornells not even close to a sure thing, which doesn't help with cutting down the work ..

but yeah, i'm from Burlington :P heard of it? haha ,, i'll PM you ..don't wana take up the entire thread about how cold here it is in canada XD

Wow, this thread just got taken over by canucks.
I actually know Burlington, my dad and I drove up to Toronto and we passed through there.

hahah i've never heard of the term 'caucks' before. maybe thats what americans refer to us as?
Just out of curiosity, what kind of stereotypes do people have about canadians? I've heard alot about 'canadians are beautiful' thing. but i can't say that i agree with it.

Canadians put maple syrups on everything. They live in Igloos and say "eh?" at the end of every sentence.

Most blatant generalizations/stereotypes/remarks I hear about Canadians are like:
- They say "eh?" after everything.
- Good at hockey.
- Patriotic of their country.

Nothing really bad...

Don't forget the poutine!

What's poutine?

Another stereotype we have of Canadians is that you all hate Americans (partially true) and that you're socialist (not true).

I liked Canada when I went, but I have to say I liked British Columbia more than Ontario just because it had a more distinct culture from the US (sorry Ontarioans!)

LOL ,, wow chandler, you've heard of Burlington? XDD NICE, its a nice place...

ahaha man, when ONE day the CANUCKS take over (this thread, or anything else for this matter, instead of the other way around) I WANA WATCH IT ON TV FROM MY DORM ROOM AT CORNELL!!

hehe i do say "eh" alot tho.., but no hockey (cause bball pwns),

poutine: basically fries with lots cheese, gravy, sour cream? bacon? etc etc. added on , soooooooo good XD , but i think its more french than canadians..

another stereotype for food could be Donuts and Coffee? :D

Yeah I have! Burlington seemed nice, it looked like part of Toronto basically.

It seems like a ton of Canadians are applying to Cornell this year.

Nah, donuts and coffee is the cop stereotype haha

the poutine I know is french fries, cheese curds and gravy

hahah yeah basically everything in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) looks like a part of Toronto to some degree

yeah i know coffee and donuts are for cops XD but we pretty much live on that up here, since its so cold for so long lol, timmys (tim hortons) every 5 blocks!

Is Toronto really cold? I heard that it's not as bad as like Buffalo.
I liked it when I went
Ontario Science Center was a TOTAL waste of time though

i dono, never been to buffalo..or anywhere else in the states lol but its not that cold, about 1 degree Celsius right now , the colder parts of Canada are the prairies and up north ,

i like how we're all spending so much time in CC while we should be doing hw for school or preparing apps to other colleges lol

"WANA WATCH IT ON TV FROM MY DORM ROOM AT CORNELL!!"

i was there for summer college and im pretty sure they dont allow tv's in the dorms =

You can have a personal television in your room....I also heard through the grapevine that Cornell did away with CUTV and replaced it with DirecTV.

wow i remember them telling us summer college kids that there weren't tvs allowed in dorm rooms

What am I going to do until ED comes out?

Whine. And gripe. And halfheartedly fill out and submit more apps.

that's probably just a policy for the summer college students
