Your final grades for this year

i dont even know anything about those competitions. Anyway sorry to burst your bubble but you are not that important for me to waste my time even looking at how you did at that competition.

Oh, Don't Worry I might become world famous :)

and your over confidence will kill you too.

there is no formula to get into any Ivie period.

Remember this "The sky's the limit, for some people, the universe is the limit"

masterus, ANYONE can become world famous. -edit-

In a good way, Not terrorist or killer way. I want to become very important. I have to go now because I need to study some classes and play some tennis.

hey some people can become world famous for some inappropriate things that other people would just frown on. Take Paris Hilton as an example.

He'll probably end up becomeing a dictator with that mentality ;)

ROFL… I’m Asian too, you know :p

You’re not the only one with parents that worked themselves out of dirt-poor conditions… ever wonder why Asian parents are so tough in the first place? My friend’s dad is a Harvard admissions interviewer (or previously was, not sure if he still does it). She told me about a guy her dad had interviewed. Perfect SAT and ACT, top of his class, 4.0 UW GPA, great EC’s, and an utterly amazing, too-good-for-words pianist. Her dad had been extremely impressed during the interview and had written a very positive report. Later on, her dad learned (the guy actually lived down their street… he hadn’t realized that until he saw him again) that he had been rejected from Harvard. Point of this story, it’s harder than it looks. I wish you the best of luck… but seriously…

Masterus, you don't want to have a Gerostratic fame though.
World, communistic background does put pressure a lot of times but usually scholars in ex-USSR are grown enough to put responsibility on themselves.

I have a cousin who got a perfect 1600 on the old SAT and was accepted at Harvard. Here's the thing: he had NO ec's or volunteer work.

the comment by DK just proves that there is no "formula" to get into Ivies. Does your cousin have any relatives (in that case you as well) who went to Harvard and are alumnis?

Yeah, basically Harvard is a reach for everyone. No one can say that it's even "slight reach", not talking about "almost accepted EA."
To clear brains, visit ED topics in Harvard board.

Masterus: Have fun being enlightened in high school. You have no clue how many people dropped out of my Honors World History class because it was so hard.

I go for a few hours and the number of pages in this thread doubles! Sheesh!

Well, yea i do. My great-grandfather on my mother's side supposedly went there although i'm not sure if there's any sufficient proof. Can't really explain it. sry runnin out of time.

You don't want me as a dictator. I'm good at war concepts. I've studied wars. I'm not going to become a dictator. :) If anyone was a dictator; he or she wouldn't want to give up power. It could be any of you guys.

Modern World History is an easy topic. I write very well essays using primary documents. I would never drop out of any class and I don't think difficulty is going to be an issue. It's just going to be how much time I have a day.

I write well essays too. Do your teachers completely disregard grammar?

Sorry, too tempting. ;)

Aw, Disneyguy, you beat me to it!

and misplaced modifier -.-' .
