@collage1 ā sadly your deal is only if transferring and opening new lines with ATT. Iām happy with TMobile, so will wait.
@Himom, my D wanted an iphone XR which is a new one but there are other models. The $220 cash card + the $30 cash card applies to any one of the new iphones and other phones (we have iphones so didnāt really look at the other options). Unfortunately, I believe this deal at Costco ended today but check Target and Walmart for similar deals. The cash cards, I believe, are only for use at the store at which you buy the phone. I knew I wouldnāt have a problem spending $250 at Costcoā¦And, actually, since youāre in Hawaii, your Costco might still be open.
@collage1 ā no, the deals were only for ATT & Verizon, not TMobile. Thanksādifferent deals for TMobileādeals for trade in old phone only.
Because I was at Costco, got 2 lb butternut squash, peeled and cut @ $5, washed organic baby spinach 1# $3, sugar peas 2# $3. The stir fry I made with them, priceless!
Yum!!! Those are excellent prices! We got a bottle of cheapo-ish zinfandel at Costco because of the funny name - The Seven Deadly Zins. It is excellent, and the price of $12 did not break the bank. We did splurge on Patz & Hall chardonnayā¦ Never seen it at Costco before.
Ok, thanks to the gift exchange thread, bought 2 ivory necklaces and 3 turquoise for total of $110, including $10 bulk shipping (with discount code). Sounds like theyāll make nice gifts for several folks in my Christmas list.
Target had ad for $1.99/lb butterball turkey. H prefers this brand for smoking so we went to buy it. They priced it at $1.49/lb, so cheaper than ad. Also, $10 gift card if you buy $50 groceries. So, we bought the turkey for $32 instead of $41 we had planned plus a bunch of groceries and got the gift card.
Used the card to get H the underwear briefs he prefers (not boxers); cheaper purchase and we donāt gave gift card to hang onto. Win/win!
@HImom Aldi actually has the Premium Butterball Turkeys for $0.87/lb. I bought two on Saturday.
Sadly, no Aldi in HI. Most of our HI stores donāt carry Butterball, and if they do itās over $2/lb.
Just got $150 for trying to participate in an online interview that didnāt happen with PayPal. Oh well, Iām sure I can use the funds for the holidays. It was SUPPOSED to them to show my how wonderful it would be to be a customer with my nonprofit so folks could pay us or donate to us via paypal account. All I got was silence and testing for over 25 minutes. I was not impressed.
A local cookware shops closing, the owner is retiring. I hit up the closing sale and bought a few things for 20% off. - Emile Henry baking stone, a griddle pan, a couple of bread proofing baskets all for the vacation home, and a pretty Mason Cash mixing bowl for my sisterās birthday gift. A few potholders and gadgets for Christmas stockings.
It was very, very crowded. Iāll miss it; one of the very few non-chain stores around.
Ordered a Pendleton wool jacket from Costco online for $79.99. Wore it for the first time last night and my fashionista friend asked if I minded her getting one, too!
@zeebamom - you were fast to get to Uville. Good shopping.
What color did you buy, @yauponredux? How is the weight of the jacket? Iām only used to ski jackets and similar. That Costco Pendleton jacket is quite attractive. Iām thinking of buying/trying it, maybe navy, so it doesnāt show the hair of the dog when we visit my BIL as much as say the black or gray ones.
How is the fit? Iām normally about a size 10 and it looks like that SHOULD be a medium but some of the reviews were mixed about the armhole placement. Iām wafflingāVERY nice jacket and I do get cold for travel but wondering if I should stick with down as it is more packable.
@Himom unless the dog is navy blue, those dog hairs will show just like on a black jacket. ?
@HImom I was tempted by red but decided navy was more versatile. It does not have lots of room in the shoulders, so if I were wearing a bulky sweater or multiple layers underneath, Iād size up. It will be plenty warm for Texas winters but probably not for Midwest or NE winter.
My favorite for travel is Uniqloās down coat - super packable!
I guess Iāll stick with what we haveāa nice warm ski jacket, warm down vest and light packable down sweater. I really donāt need MORE wool garments.
Yesā¦and those down puffer jackets can be tossed in your washerā¦not true with the wool onesā¦but yes, they are nice!
The big downside to visiting my BIL is that thereās dog fur pretty much everywhere so I have to choose my wardrobe accordingly. Never had to think of such things before. Ended up buying a pair of jeans one trip because it didnāt show the light shedded fur as much as black slacks. For as little as I need a warm coat, I guess I will stick with down and similar technical coats/vests for easier storage
