I'm normally not materialistic and quasi-anti-consumerist.....but the day after Thanksgiving just makes me so damn happy.

I'm going to circuit city tomorrow to buy an el cheapo laptop to replace my el ghetto laptop ($170 off ebay, came with vaseline on the screen...) that's $380 and includes a printer and router.

it has OneNote software which i've heard a bunch of people rave about for students.

I like Black Friday Too. This year there aren't many sales though. Like Literally!!!! Also not that hyped out about clothes. They're not like a big sale or anything. I think it's mainly for electronics.

I think I'll sleep in and get ready for my first interview than freeze my butt off in line for Best Buy, like I did for the past 4 years. My daddy will buy me a shinin' new computer in spring anyways.

because apparently...it's the day when all the company charts go from red (the negatives) to black (the positives - that is...profit!), or so I've been told.

The "black" in the name comes from the standard accounting practice of using red ink to denote negative values (losses) and black ink to denote positive values (profits). Black Friday is the day when retailers traditionally get back "in the black" after operating "in the red" for the previous months, often by cutting prices considerably.-from wikipedia.org

i dont really like black friday.. the stores are much too crowded.. dont even get me started on the mall. i'd rather just pay more and not have to deal with all the people

It looks like I'm not getting that computer after all. My dad found out he gets a discount at circuit city because his company does their advertising, but he doesnt want to use it yet because he doesnt exactly know how much or how to get it. so he said he wants to wait.

and i decided i want a tablet PC instead.

i'm still going to the mall though to look at clothes and peoplewatch.
