Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Just got a Columbia flannel shirt which I had been hoping to find. It was on sale for $19.99 instead of $45 and free shipping! I used my credit that I still have on PayPal for trying to participate in a focus group for PayPal that never happened. They gave me a $150 credit and I’ve been slowly spending it down.

Breville Smart Oven Pro priced at roughly half price with free shipping…It’s a very nice toaster oven!

A new supermarket opened up in the neighboring town, and they offered a $100 gift card to transfer 4 prescriptions to their pharmacy. I transferred two of DH’s less expensive meds as well as two of mine, our copay after insurance was $70, and we got $100 in gift cards.

Our local Costco is still selling forever stamps — 100 for $49.75 instead of $55! Just bought them today!

^^ 100 stamps would last me “forever” =))

Well, I mail flat rate boxes. 26 of those forever stamps + 5 of the $.01 stamps ships a medium sized flat rate box to anywhere in US! That’s a great deal for me! Yes, I did put such stamps on such a box and ship it off this morning with stuff D forgot!

Anyone have a 30% discount code for Kohls? I got a 15% one and have something that I’d like to buy.

Thanks @SnLMom !

@millermomm The verdict is in - I love the NYDJ jeans I bought, and have since bought a couple brushed twill jeans in the same style when I saw a sale. (I tried the “put it in your cart and ignore it” trick, but didn’t get an additional coupon this time.) I will be watching for more sales and Zulily for more - still don’t think I can spring for full price! ?

@Maryjay60 Nordstrom Rack frequently has NYDJ on sale, too.

Yesterday, paid $45 + tax for a Sam’s Club membership & got $45 instant credit applied on merchandise I put into my cart! Afterwards, read the fine print and learned I could have gotten an extra $5 credit if I had gotten my Sam’s membership online instead of at the store. Oh well, getting the membership fir just the price of tax was a pretty good deal imho!

Deal is good until March 9, Can just search online Sam’s Club membership 45 credit and offer pops up.

Thanks, @Singersmom07 , I’ll.watch that, too!

Just curious what is the draw on the NYDJ denim? Everyone seems to like them so much.

@abasket They are comfortable, they seem to shape a little (or at least don’t exacerbate muffin-top issues), and they are long enough. There is nothing way out-of-the-ordinary (They say order a size smaller, but I didn’t do that.)

Hmmm…I like stretch but not suction and I actually prefer my jeans on the short side - cropped at ankle. Maybe not for me!

@abasket They have lots of different styles, including cropped. And they don’t have “suction.” But, they aren’t revolutionary and you like what you like!??‍♀️

Bombas socks are on Good Morning America deals https://gma-bombas.com

Yes, you do have to pay shipping. They are 50% off today. They are some of my favorite socks, and when these socks are on the deals it’s the lowest price I see for these socks. I have socks that are 3 years old and still look good. But I’m not particularly hard on my socks.

I have small feet so I really like socks that come in sizes

@Maryjay60 Yay! I am glad you liked them. No, they are not revolutionary but are the most comfortable jeans I have found. A lot of my tall friends love them because they can buy regular sizes. The Petites work well for me (I normally wear a regular length)

TJ Maxx, Boscovs, Zulily, all also have deals on them from time to time (in addition to the aforementioned Nordstrom Rack). I also have bought them off Poshmark.

I do a lot of baking, especially cookies, as I donate them to our local soup kitchen.

A friend noticed that our local BigY supermarket had marked butter flavor Crisco shortening down on clearance to 50% off, which meant $3.44 instead of $6.89 for the 3lb can. She called me up and I was able to find 3 cans in one store had actually been marked down and scanned at $1.44 each. I sent DH to another store close to his work, and he found 5 cans at $3.44. I will be sad if they stop carrying this entirely, but at least I now have a couple of years’ worth - they don’t expire until Nov 2020.
