Could not resist… Prada sandals at the Rack, 80% off.
NYDJ capris with released hem, 60% off. First time trying this brand thanks to hearing about it here. I wore them today and H said, “When did you get those jeans? You should throw away your other jeans and get more like those.” They are really soft, stretchy but don’t seem to be stretching out, and the waist is high and right where I need it. Great buy!
I don’t need jeans but was curious about NYDJ so I went their web site and the first style shown is…Marilyn.
@Marilyn It’s like they knew! LOL
@deb922 -The S&H for the bombas is more than the cost of the socks!!
@jym626, I buy the maximum you can buy on the sock offer. I know that people don’t like to pay shipping so that’s why I put that in my post.
Right, @ deb922. I was considering buying one pair to try them. Will have to pass at that S&H price.
I’ve gotten those jeans at TJMaxx. Last time I was there, I tried on about 20 pairs of jeans and jean-like pants. Bought about 5 pairs. I ended up returning 2 of them, for scratchier fabric.
One of the survivors was NYDJ and I went on the TJ’s website, found the exact pair and ordered 2 more! It’s great to have several pairs of pants for winter that are super comfortable and wearable. I feel like I’ve been settling for pants that were not quite right in some way or another and I don’t want to do that anymore.
YMMV on the brand and cut though. It’s best to try on first and be super picky.
There are several NYDJ jeans on the TJ website you can order - this is just my search for cropped/capri - you can’t search by brand but you can scroll and see which are NYDJ https://tjmaxx.tjx.com/store/shop/women-s-cropped-ankle-jeans/_/N-74726918
Jeans are so YMMV. Every single pair of NYDJ I’ve tried on hasn’t fit me properly. (Pear-shaped, very long torso, very short legs.)
Costco also has the Marilyn NYDJ online. I wasn’t logged in, so did not see the price.
Yippee! Got CapitolOne to waive the $59 annual fee for my Spark Visa business card for our nonprofit and also a 2nd card that we use for another business. It provides 2% cash back but we have a no annual fee 2.5% cash back USAA card, so I’m always weighing closing the card. It’s good to have options though, especially since they were willing to waive the fee.
Speaking of credit cards, we recently got the Hilton American Express credit card (Ascend w/$95 annual fee) and I’m just blown away with all the perks! We stay at Hilton properties often when we travel and I kicking my self for not getting this card years ago. We have some other travel credit cards and I have an upcoming trip so I was comparing the perks and point values between cards and saw something I never noticed before, 10 free passes to Priority Pass Select.
I’d never heard of this, turns out it’s an airport lounge access program (https://www.prioritypass.com/select#). I’ll be flying in and out of Tampa and they have a “lounge” there but when I researched it turned out to be a really nice restaurant, The Café by Mise en Place and the Priority Pass card gives you $28 instant credit toward food and/or drinks. I plan to eat both arriving a departing (lunch and dinner) so that’s $56 of FREE food! This is well worth the annual fee for me!
They have access to different airport lounges around the world and the card covers participating lounge’s specific entrance rate.
This something very new for the the Hilton cards, the no fee card doesn’t include this and $450 annual fee card gives unlimited access to you and up to two guests. The only catch is you have to register for the program and have a the physical card. I was told it would take 10 days for mine to arrive but that’s fine, my trip isn’t until the end of March. Again this is very new and I couldn’t find the link to register on-line, I had to call Hilton Am Ex to register, so if you are have this card and will be flying, you should call them and register, it’s FREE!!!
If you don’t have this card and are thinking of getting one, please send me a PM first, I could use the referral points:-)
@3scoutsmom We enjoyed my sister’s airport lounge access recently at DFW and were very impressed. The food and beverages consumed would have easily have cost us at least $50 to $100.
Thanks for the tip about the card. I also also frequent Hilton properties and will look into it.
Are you saying there is an annual $450 fee to get these “free” meals?
@thumper1 there are 3 different Hilton Card types:
no annual fee = does not in include the new airport lounge program and less other perks
$95 annual fee card = comes with 10 free airpot lounge passes that can be used by you and your guests plus lots of other perk like upgrade to Gold Status which lets you earn a higher number points, free breakfast and wi-fi at hilltons that offer breakfast (I think most do) and a BUNCH of other perks, enough that I thought the $95 fee was worth it before I knew about the airport lounge program, things like:
You earn 12X Hilton Honors Bonus Points
for each dollar of eligible purchases charged on your Card directly with a participating hotel or resort within the Hilton portfolio.
6X Hilton Honors Bonus Points
for each dollar of eligible purchases on your Card at U.S. restaurants, at U.S. supermarkets, and at U.S. gas stations (excluding ware house stores like costco)
3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points
for all other eligible purchases on your car
the $450 annual fee card = comes with * unlimited * lounge access for you and two guests, auto up grade to Diamond stutus which allows you to earn crazy amount of points and gives around $250 cash credit at their highest end resorts, this is not for people that stay at the lower end Hilton properties. I haven’t looked into the details yet but we might even upgrade to this the year we actually take our 2 month long sabbical trip. Because of the resort credit it’s actally not that bad of a deal.
Nice. There is an AMex card that has similar perks for I believe $500 a year. Excellent for frequent travelers. And that card also has some terrific other additional perks.
Sunflower butter, smooth and chunky. It’s supposed to have less saturated fat, and more unsat fat than even Almond Butter. I thought it was good on bland, sugar free oatmeal. Also add blueberries if you have them. Makes for a hearty breakfast.
@thumper1 I think they’s be similar because the Hilto cards are through Am Ex too, I think it the first year Hilton is doing the $450 annual fee card though.
We have the priority pass benefit through our chase sapphire credit card and there’s a PP app you download and register through. Then you can access the clubs with your app (phone). Hard to imagine that won’t work with the benefit accessed from a different credit card. Then you won’t need the actual card. If you already have your member # for priority pass, you may want to download the app and see if you can register.
