Wow—the $197 rental car for 10 days from Budget is a Ford Fusion Hybrid. It is rated at >40mpg! So far we are happy with it but it’s taken a bit of time to figure out all the controls (battery was dead this morning and had to jump it). We think we may have left the lights on. Good car otherwise.
Amazon Black Friday deals Tomorrow:
^^^OMG that list is overwhelming!
I was just in Trader Joe and they have the most amazing felted wool trivets for $4.99
I have no need for them, but they are so cute, I bought four!
^^ I so want some of those - and the wool pom pom garland - no Trader Joes close to me though! Good for you though I’m jealous!
I would personally steer clear of the first Macy’s cookware set (not the non-stick ones). There are 165 ratings of “1” on a 1-5 scale with some pretty harsh reviews. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/tools-of-the-trade-stainless-steel-13-pc.-cookware-set-created-for-macys?ID=2912733&pla_country=US&CAGPSPN=pla&cm_mmc=Google_SH_PLA_Cookware--GS_Cookware_PLA_Tools_of_the_Trade--293719127160--pg1050673597_t_kclickid__kenshoo_clickid__KID_EMPTY_1546922786_61770723067_293719127160_pla-514501560385_706256572239USA__t_KID&trackingid=509x1050673597&m_sc=sem&m_sb=Google&m_tp=PLA&m_ac=Google_SH_PLA_Cookware&m_ag=ToolsoftheTrade&m_cn=GS_Cookware_PLA&m_pi=go_cmp-1546922786_adg-61770723067_ad-293719127160_pla-514501560385_dev-t_ext-_prd-706256572239USA&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8e6q-buB5gIVjg4rCh2G_ABSEAQYAiABEgJP4_D_BwE
A 1000 thread count all-cotton king size duvet cover. Bed Bath and Beyond “hotel” brand.
$9.99, brand new in package at Goodwill!
Had found some good deals (and they are doing free shipping) on Rue la la but have had some mixed results so I hesitate to recommend their deals.
@abasket - I saw some pom pom garlands at World Market. You can order them if no shop is near you. They had quite an array of holiday decor.
Target is giving a $10 gift card with $50 purchase today. (There might be some restrictions - not sure).
My kids love these Nike sweats: https://www.nike.com/t/sportswear-club-fleece-mens-pants-j3nqxx/BV2707-063
Last week, S19 asked for two pairs for Christmas; as a college athlete, he wears sweats quite a bit to practice, but said nearly all of his sweats bear his high school logo/sport so he wanted some that are just plain. They are normally $45 and the day he sent the link last week, they were on sale at most places for $40. Most stores (like Dick’s Sporting Goods, etc) rarely offer added discounts to Nike products beyond any sale price but I figured eventually I’d find a better sale price at least.
This morning I opened my email and saw that Nike.com not only had them on sale again but for a much better price, $33, as well as an added 20% off (price comparing showed same sale price at Dick’s, etc, but as usual, their current 20% off discount does not include Nike).
I ended up getting them from Nike.com for $27.13 each plus free shipping. Got S21 a pair as well since he likes them too.
Now if only the Nike sneaks D17 asked for were on sale. Nope, full price. I’ll keep hoping to find them on sale soon!
The above Nike site currently is showing 10% cash back on Rakuten.
@jym626 there must be restrictions of some kind at Target. I spent way more than $50, and I wasn’t offered anything.
It seems to be food & beverage @ Target. May have to present the in newspaper coupon too.
There were several coupons in the target flier.
And here are coupons/deals http://help.target.com/help/subcategoryarticle?childcat=Current+Promotions&parentcat=Promotions+%26+Coupons
As an aside, It seems new posters are using their child’s age. Tradition here has been the graduation year (DS23, etc). It’s very confusing.
Costco fresh wreaths can’t be beat at $17.99! So large that I thought I’d put it on my front good sized Dutch door but it looks a little much! Found a spot for it on our deck “fence” gate.
@jym626 I’m not sure who you are referencing but I have always used my kids’ high school grad years when talking about them. S19 who I mentioned above is my son who is a college freshman - he’s only 18 but graduated h.s. in 2019. Just realized I mentioned S21 and D17 - those are their h.s grad years - D17 is a 20 y/o college junior and S21 is a h.s. junior. And not to leave her out, I also have D23 who is a 14 y/o h.s. freshman.
^^^ @4kids4us, I had talked about this situation in the “Random Questions” thread. Over time I think the references have changed. So just don’t assume when YOU are reading (or anyone else for that matter) that “D20” means high school year graduated or age or whatever - There are different posting methods out there!
