Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Macy’s has some great clearance deals: O’Neil dress for D for $7.97 and a Studio M dress for me for $31.

Just got back from Kohls…used one of my 15% off coupons that could be used even with clearance items. There was still a good collection in the clearance rack. Both slacks, shoes, and two nice knit shirts for $51. Not bad.

Just bought an italian leather sofa from Costco. It was marked down to $499.97 !!!

My friend bought R/T tickets LAX to HNL over the Christmas holidays for $360 on AA, just the other weekend! I am amazed. His brother got them for $460. Now, they’re MUCH higher. :(

Bought New Balance running shoes, reg. price $79.99…got them off a clearance rack for $35 at Shoe Carnival

An everyday good deal at Costco - glasses for son (age 17) $110 and 6 months worth of contacts, also for son - $109. Insurance reimbursement - $100, so end cost is $119! The last time we got glasses at Lenscrafters it cost over $300. Of course since we were there I found $59 worth of other things too…

Semi formal dress for sorority party: Originally 438…reduced 50%…then another 30%…then there was a loose button (they fixed it, I didn’t have to ask) took off a bit more. With California tax…$120 and change.

And it is GORGEOUS!!!

Not as great as thumper’s find, but a good one, too: $600 fine Italian wool dress slacks for $95 at a Gucci outlet in CA (50% off outlet prices). DH and I used the money I “saved” to have a very nice dinner.

I know you guys have warned me about my Goodwill finds…but yesterday I bought a dress, three jackets, two gorgeous blouses, and a pair of capris for $40…all Coldwater Creek and all MY size. Someone was cleaning out their closet and I sure felt like I hit the jackpot.

My sister always finds beautiful cashmere at her Goodwill, once a coat for 20.00! If it doesn’t fit her, she gets it for other family members.

My daughter didn’t have a great find, but she loves JCrew shirts and she waited as usual and found one she loved that was 39.00 for under 18.00. If found a 30.00 one for 10.00

Looking for a printer that I can have shipped…any suggestions?

college students get free 2-day shipping at Amazon. that works out well.

If it’s over $50, Staples ships free.

Also with Staples you might have it the next day or if not in two days. Amazingly quick delivery.

Just had him join Amazon Student…Thanks

I just bought my daughter a pair of jeans at Abercrombie & Fitch for $13.00! They were on sale with an additional 30% off. She was not with me and I was really hoping they would fit. Fortunately, they did!

Target. Even has a link to a picture of the item. Yeap.

Was at the printers yesterday. Had them print out cardstock postcards and they cut the stack of 100 of them for $.30! That was our great deal of the week!

Will have catering for our event @ $7.50 plus tax which includes beverages (coffee & tea & hot and cold water), fresh fruit also in the morning and hot bento box lunches with choice of fish or chicken! I feel it’s an exceptional deal, especially since we have the entire gorgeous conference center at no charge, complete with staffing!

One of my buddies here on cc gave me a great suggestion. My D was heading off to college and I was (still am) worried about her. CC buddy suggested I give her a key necklace with a note about “holding the key to her own future.” Macy had this Fossil necklace at half price ($14).

I hope it serves as a reminder.

I’m not really sure if this is a good deal or not…but a friend just talked me into purchasing a Roku (from woot.com); they have a refurbished XR version for $69 (I did some checking and it looks like it normally sells for about $99 and their regular model sells for about $69). Although now I guess I’ll need to get a Netflix membership to go along with it…
