Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Saw a pair of Uggs on Ebay in my size and color for $89. Wasn’t sure they’d fit so went to Nordstrom to try on. Found the exact same pair, in my size and color on the clearance rack for $69. Bought them quickly before they changed their mind.

sk8rmom…

Ah sk8rmom…before you replace those boxes, read the thread here about getting rid of stuff in the new year…you might decide you dont’ NEED new plastic boxes!! :)

Haha thumper, I know but I ordered 10 anyway (btw, tried a few codes and all had been used…$2.50 per was still a deal)! Believe me, after having to unload my parent’s home 2 years ago, I vowed I would clean up my act and not store so much stuff! Hoping to do a purge but IIRC it’s mostly “good junk” being stored and my kids each have one 8’x2’x2’ shelf area in the basement that they’re allowed to own but their boxes are getting a little musty/dirty looking and I want the “move out” ready! The old tax records, remnants of parent’s financial life, old deck cushions, and such will definitely hit the curb…I’ve just been too lazy to do that since they’re on the top shelf and under the stairs and I just hate spiders and cobwebs!

Hope these hit the curb AFTER hitting the SHREDDER.

OK…sorry to hijack the thread…back to good buys.

Thanks for reminding me to do that…part of my “good junk” is a big shredder I inherited from my dad but have never used!

Found for S’s futon bed…Overstock.com has Slumber Solutions Highloft Supreme 4-inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper, item #12661391, for $67.49 today (3" topper is $57.49) and shipping is only $1. There’s also 8% cash back for O Club members, whatever that is, or 4% rebate through Mr. Rebates. It has very high reviews but doesn’t look like it comes in the normal twin XL that dorm beds have.

Coldwater Creek is finishing up a 50% off sale, both on-site and on-line. My daughter gave me a groupon for $50 (cost her $25) so I spent it on-line. One of the things I got was this necklace [Classic strand necklace | Coldwater Creek](http://www.coldwatercreek.com/product-detail/52227/58317/classic-strand-necklace.aspx?colorid=090&refLink=outlet-jewelry.aspx&Skn=outlet) for $15 that was originally $59. She gave groupon’s to her Grandparents too and then sat with them at the computer to help pick what they wanted out. It was fun for all.

Very nice, kathiep. I bought a few necklaces too at 50% off the outlet prices. I have been told that last year they slashed prices to 70% off in January. I don’t know if they will do that this year. I decided to buy while there was a selection at 50% off.

It is great that your DD was able to help grandparents get familiar with Groupons. My own mom has never purchased anything online and has no plans to start now.

Bought a nice pair of Jones NY pants at Bloomingdales-originally marked $109, with the 50% off the already reduced price… pay only $26.42!!

Is the Coldwater Creek 50% off just for one item? The wording is not clear, says can just use the code once.

It is 50% for the entire order.

Snapfish.com has a promo going on for 99 photo prints for 99 cents with (code is 2011Penny). They also give 50 free prints when you sign up. I’ve been meaning to clear my camera cards anyway!

Must be the day for photo deals…checked Grouponroundup and found this:

Kodak Gallery is offering a 5x7 14-Page Photo Book (black) for free when you enter code “TGTFREEBOOK” at checkout. Shipping is $1.99. It also works for $10 off a med/lg photo book.

http://targetphoto.kodakgallery.com/gallery/lp/2010/tsi/tgtfreebook.jsp</a></p>

When visiting my father I admired his “new” sweater. He readily confessed that he got it at Goodwill! I told him I shop there sometimes, too.

Today I got a snowsuit for my grandson. DD wasn’t able to find one in his size (or a non-girl color) in the stores, so I went to my favorite thrift shop and got very lucky. woo-hoo!

Got S a sweater 100% cotton that he likes for $8.50 at Macy’s. It’s a children’s large (the XL & M didn’t quite fit).

Sadly Amazon ran out of the Emu boots from last week. I got an email saying they will not be sending the boots I ordered, but they gave me a $5 gift code to apply to future purchases. :(

anothermomwq, what a bummer! Try 6pm - last time I checked, there were tons of different Emu boot styles, maybe you can find something that you like.

Thanks, Bunsen- They do have the same Emus I ordered, but for $69 not the $29.99 I paid at Amazon. Still a good price, and thanks, I wasn’t familiar with that website.

6pm is the clearance site of Zappos. Too bad the price is way higher - I’d be unhappy about the cancelled order, too. Oh, well, at least you got 5 Amazon bucks - when Nordy’s cancells my orders, they do not offer anything in return for the trouble.

I found a few useful cosmetic products (ie: L’Oreal, Revlon) on sale for 75% off regular retail pricing at CVS.

Land’s End men’s polos are $12 and free shipping for $50 or above. Orderred my husband 5 tall XL’s.
