i checked my email box...and saw the following....

SENDER: SUBJECT:
UC Irvine Your Invitation to "Transferring to UC Irvine"

i was like getting a heart-attack coz i thought i got in UCI...

however......
when i opened the email...
it's just an invitation to the club meeting for ALL transfer students...

wt the X..

That probably means you got in though.

I didn't get that e-mail and I already got in. o.O The UC admissions system is weird.

yeah i got one too and i didnt get in yet either....it was such a cocktease

is it specific for Northern California transfers for instance? Anymore details?

I got that email today too. It is like an orientation to transferring process for all applicants, admits and prospective students.

Just to let you all know, I received that e-mail today and I was accepted as a transfer student 10 days ago.

I got it too. Hopefully those of us who haven't gotten a decision will get a decision by April 22.

I finally got that e-mail too. I remember when my sister got in as a freshmen. I went with her to the same thing.

I see... what were they really presenting on that orientation day?

yah i might wanna check it out (even though i didnt apply there); it'd be nice to get a feel that i'm finally transferring off to a 4 year university. plus, the stuff they say, which i'm guessing will be about how to smoothly adjust to a new school, might help ! :)

Um. I didn't get the email. Does that mean I didn't get in?

It's just a mass of people congregating there for um I guess fun? You walk around campus and they just show you stuff and you sit in a huge classroom(or stand since they run out of seats) and they talk about something boring that I didn't pay attention to. Oh and the parking is horrible. Well that's what it was like for my sister as a freshman. This says its "especially for transfers" so it might be different. [shrugs]

Yeah, I'll probably check it out - just to see their irvine chicks haha.

I went to the math orientation and it turned out to be similar to what you described there... :) well, plus I received a few extra free things like some cake, some pen and pencils with UCI on it, and a little folder with big UCI bears on the front cover :D

Anyone going to "Decision Davis"?

UCI bears? Are you sure it wasn't an anteater?

UCI bears

Too many bears in California already. We need anteaters, which don't even exist in California naturally.

i have never seen a bear in california. ever. lol, but i havent seen any anteaters either...

hmm.... oh man...my bad my bad... yeah you are right, they are anteaters... Well, they look like bears to me since I didn't pay any attention to the picture.

UCB has bear as a school symbol right?
