If I get in and enroll RD, I'm thinking about Geography and Philosophy, but I'm not sure. I put Geography on my application.

Not math or science, though..

Depending on how hard Dartmouth is, either a double political science/religious studies major, or just the political science.

I also want to get a lot of journalism and literature classes in.

Planning on majoring in Genetics, Cell, and Developmental Biology ^.^

I am a history major, and recently added a government major. (Used to be a women's studies minor)

Daughter says: French and something else. Probably science of some sort or another...

Oh man, RaspberrySmoothie, I'm thinking of Chemistry and Philosophy (very close, and also very counter-intuitive). But then of course there are foreign languages (spanish, italian, or japanese) and English...and then psychology and anthropology...oh hell I don't know.

Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology and History, concentrating in the history of science and technology.

hey wisconsinguy!

I put computer science

Double major, Creative Writing and Film and Television Studies

isnt it a bit early to discuss majors... i think we have two years to decide?

we do...I'm just curious to know what people are interested in...even if you don't plan on majoring in it

I'd really like to do film and a language. But I'd also really like to do geography and philosophy. Granted, I can do them all, but one or two have to be official majors, I guess.

I want to learn a new language in college, but then I'd feel like I'm abandoning Spanish. I don't know. I would have never started it, but it's all that was offered in middle school. I'd really rather learn Dutch, Swedish or French. I guess I can always just pick them up when I'm older.

can a current dartmouth student give any input on how hard it is to do a double major at Dartmouth please? (specifically, one major in the humanities and one in the sciences) Thanks

I am a double major, and it's not hard at all, as long as you plan it out! Government and History. My best friend and roommate is a history major and pre-med (practically a second major), and it hasn't been a problem for her at all.

I put math and economics, and I'd like to learn Russian.

Um I just noticed something stupid I did. The "oh man, RaspberrySmoothie..." post above was supposed to begin "Oh man, FountainSiren." Whoops.

haha... no harm done. plus, we all know who's on SCIMMIA's mind now...

newo54... I took Russian 1-3 at Dartmouth. GREAT department!
