Your opinion on financial aid

Is it even possible to voluntarily back out of an ED acceptance?

It's not illegal...it just looks bad, and it reduces the chances of future applicants from your school...if you're already in at that other college, and esp if it's a state college, I doubt they'd care much...

Yes, but it's only ethical if the fin. aid is abysmal and not at all what you expected (and in most of these cases I imagine they'd increase the package).

Oh I didn't mention anything about ethics. I think it's ethically wrong and selfish. :)

Punctuating that with a smiley face (:)) was such an insane juxtaposition that I nearly died with laughter. Well, first I did a massive double-take, then I began gasping for air.... but you know what I mean.

:) :) :) :) Look, here are some friends for the poor improperly used smiley face. (Or at least an unconventionally used one...)

No no it wasn't a contradiction, it was BALANCE. mhmm
Just like, "hey I'm criticizing you but you're still my friend" lol
:p :o :)
ah i love faces

I've actually used that strategy at times, so I understand :D Haha.

Me too, but for some reason it just struck me as really funny....

shrugs shoulders

lol, gracilisae, when are you gonna join the Members club?

Seriously! You need to get that post count up there! Only 107 to go.....

105 now.... Just getting from 800 to 900 has taken forever. exaggerated sigh of exasperation

"exaggerated sigh of exasperation"

exa-, exa-, exa- what? lol. :) <---and no, that wasn't a "kiss-and-make-up" smiley, don't worry.

Theoretically though, isn't it ED-"illegal" to be accepted somewhere else anyway? Can't they revoke admission over that?

Not if it's rolling admissions. That's okay.

Not if it was rolling admissions.

jinx zante, pass a coke to phil :)

Edit: and yes, "coke" can be any soft drink here in the South. Good times.

lol, what kinda coke, kebree? ;)
passes coke to phil

coke flavor of your choice. [or phil's, rather]

Why, Coca-Cola, of course. What other kind of coke could you possibly be referring to? ;)

I'll take my little bag of pretty white powder and be going now :D

And hey, at least we don't say "pop," katia. 'cause I can't stand it when people say that.
