Well, the time has come – it’s late March, and I haven’t seen a general regular decision thread.
I want to know everyone’s rundown on their received admission decisions. I want to celebrate with you and also figure out why some school’s didn’t respond the way you expected them to.
I applied to many schools and have been receiving a multitude of decisions and really want to see that others are in the same boat.
By the way, don’t base your self worth on an unfavorable admissions decision; they can be random at times.
I’ve been accepted to Cornell and Vanderbilt so far! I’m pretty excited about them, but I’m still waiting on the rest of my schools to release their decisions. I’ll post again tomorrow after I hear from Duke!
I got waitlisted at Vanderbilt and Carleton. The only one that I still need to wait for is Penn. Based off the previous two results, I’m not feeling great about my chances to get into Penn.
Today, I checked my mail and received a package from USC (Univ. Southern California)… and I got in! I really wasn’t expected this because USC is my very close friend’s dream school. Today, she got into Claremont Mckenna which was my dream school… and now we’re thinking about switching identities, (JK).
I have a college mentor who made me apply to like 22 schools because she thought my application was unpredictable
I’m waiting on:
UC Berkeley
Tufts
Stanford
Brown
I’ve been accepted to (in this order):
UC Riverside
San Diego State
CSU Long Beach
UC San Diego
UCLA
Colby College
Middlebury College
Colorado College
Franklin & Marshall
and now USC
I’ve been rejected to:
Bowdoin
Cal Poly Slo
Colleges that have waitlisted me:
Bates
Claremont McKenna
Pomona (claremont one)
I’m not kidding, I applied to this many schools with the help of my college mentor and I am very confused I have the slightest idea where I’ll be in four months!
Thankfully,I’ve been invited to fly-ins to see F&M, Middlebury, Colby, and Colorado!
For RD, I’m waiting on Syracuse and SUNY Binghamton. Based on the fact that I was rejected from Bentley after a deferral, I don’t think the final two outcomes will be very good, either.
@aquamoon Congrats!
Berkeley is like, my dream school, so I’d definitely say I’m considering it The only thing is I’m out of state, so costs would be pretty crazy for the first year… But other than that I’d love to go!
How about yourself?
Accepted: UCLA, UC Berkeley, MIT (more like W.T.F!), Duke, UCSD, UC Davis, USC, Northwestern, Cal Poly SLO
Waitlisted: UChicago (my dream school)
Rejected: None so far, but betting on Stanford and 4 ivys
UChicago was my first BIG decision and I was completely heartbroken after I found out my decision. But things have definitely turned around since then and I’m super stoked about my options! It’s going to be difficult choosing
Accepted: Purdue, UIUC, Penn State, Texas A&M, CU Boulder, Virginia Tech, UCSD, UCD.
Rejected: UT Austin, UCLA, Georgia Tech(Dream School).
Right now, I’m considering Purdue, UIUC, Virginia Tech, and Penn State. I haven’t gotten direct admission into CU Boulder or Texas A&M. The UCs were safeties.
