Your view on getting a bunch of leadership roles in clubs?

So I have this friend whose grades are average, with C's and mostly B's, and maybe even 1 or 2 A's. Anyway, this year, she's been getting lots of leadership roles in clubs. She became president of one (by raising her hand, playing rock-paper-scissors shoot, and then kicking the president out), and VP of another (after asking her best friend, the prez, for the president spot; the prez denied and gave her VP instead).
I'm just a bit annoyed at how she's trying to get so many leadership roles, and then not even doing much. Either that, or she makes a club crap. And she still tried to get another leadership role (I created a club which she wanted to be the founder & VP of).
So what's your view on doing this?
Do club leadership positions compensate for average scores?

nahh they definitely don’t compensate for average grades, especially of they’re just school clubs. i think colleges look at grades first and then just use your extracurriculars as insight to what you’re interested in and how active you are in that commitment.

School clubs are so run of the mill that no one cares. All my extracurriculars, excluding Swimming and Jazz Ensemble, I do individually. I didn’t even apply for NHS because they accept people at my school who have been arrested for drug possession and use.
