How heavily do top colleges weigh on Presidents and Vice-Presidents of clubs?
I'm asking because at our high school, these positions dont always go to the best students but sometimes (most of the time) the most popular.

Good point. At my old school the vice president was this dumb blonde girl who cheated off my test all the time until I had to rat her out. And the president, an overachieving rich girl who was in Algebra 1 as a freshman.

Depends on which club.

President of basketweaving club? Uh..no.
President of...use common sense.

But, you are right. Sometimes its not the most talented. However, if you're secretary/treasurer and you show awesome stats, then its a plus. It just happens to be that at most public schools, those stupid kids who do nothing but "hang-out" ALL DAY, (ok from time to time) but you know what I mean...and then join these clubs just to look good, along with a bunch of their friends and get voted by majority. Ugh.

Sometimes I hate the voting procedure.

Also, the leadership that colleges look for are not necessarily presidents.
It could be like an editor for a paper, organizing a program, starting a fundraiser, etc. Taking initiatives and using time wisely.

What about President of NHS?

Not worth much, unless you DO something phenomenal with your position.

What about founder and president of robotics club?

also founder and president of FIRST:)
founded and officier of engineering club(TSA) (many national awards)
vice p of science olympiad (many nationals awards)
officier of mualphatheta

how does this look?

it looks like :(

Makes me wish i was a better person

"leadership" is a bunch of crap - you generally don't lead anything, and most of what is done is fake as far as having any influence
