All I hear about our generation is how were the worst generation ever, and blah, blah, blah. I'm referring to people born in Generation Y (1987-1995). I don't think were the worst generation, or even that bad. But it seems we get the most hate from the previous generations.

The youngest generation is always the worst one. Young people have the least experience, so they generally have the worst opinions and decision-making skills. So even though people tend to say each generation is worse than the one before it, it is really just because the new generation hasn’t had time to learn. Our generation is just as good as the other ones, they just have decades of experience on us. Society isn’t collapsing. At least I hope so.

i iz the best generation

I would rate us about average. We aren’t as bad as “older generations” think we are, but we are definitely not the best with the decrease of morals (but then it’s not that huge of a decrease and when you compare it to other times…), decrease in interest (not saying all, but most of us youngsters don’t care or care, but won’t do anything about it), and a decrease in our inability to use proper punctuation and grammar.

It is “we’re” instead of “were.” This is the internet, correct grammar or ■■■■. (just joking :b)

nonsense, we had some of the best 90’s shows.

Generation Me seems to sum it up pretty well.
I don’t think we’re any better or worse than past generations, just the result of the popular child rearing strategies and ideologies while we were growing up. Because we were raised differently, we’re different. Who would have thought. And naturally, that’s a bit upsetting.
I think in the next generation we’ll see a backlash against individualism.

I predict that the next generation will be taller. And the weather will be warmer.

The next generation is Generation Z, I think they have it worse. They grew up on today’s tech, and some used the computers when they were 3.

yeah, the generation just younger than ours might have AADD [acquired attention deficit disorder]. They’ve been completely raised on technology with instant response, therefore they literally can’t focus. We can still remember life before it.

^I remember getting that windows 97 I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Every generation thinks it’s the worst
Thinks it’s the end of the world

Life without computers?? I think I’ve been using them since I was like three. Older generation Zer here.

Anti me an adult tells you we are the worst generation, you say, yeah well you raised us.

People are people.

I’ve been on computers since before my first birthday (I’m 16 now) and it hasn’t caused any problems other than an addiction to the internet that, based on my personality, probably would have developed anyway (and doesn’t hurt me that much other than my social life, which I’ve never cared that much about).

The babyboomers are the worst generation. Look at the economy, government and the environment. It’s all them.

Every new generation is worse than all the ones currently alive. The reason for that is that by now the worse portion of past generations has been weeded out and marginalized, while the better portion has risen and become outstanding members of their communities.

That said, I think right now this is exaggerated by the fact that our grandparents and great grandparents are the ones who grew up in the Great Depression and World War 2, both of which probably had a good impact overrall on the quality of that generation.

Also, considering skills, the onward march of technology means that every generation is going to tend to be better educated and less skilled than the one before it.

@HawaAwah: It would seem so, but then again past generations had plenty of trouble also. It’s possible that at any given time people will blame whatever generation is currently in the 40-60 “ruling age” for all the world’s problems.

People are overrated.
