Thanks!!

Itā€™s one of my favorite places. Two Olympic-sized pools surrounded by trees. Iā€™m always happy when Iā€™m there!

I think I recognize that pool! :rose:

Iā€™d allow a substitution of the 5K for a ā€œTriple Lindy.ā€

37 degrees wet, wet - I always say Cold Rain is my least favorite weather. Give me colder/snowy over that and day (for walkingā€¦ Iā€™m actually a rather timid driver in the snow and ice).

Nice emoji!!!

I walked 4.2 miles today, but didnā€™t take any pics. Will post pics when I do a better walk :).

Cloudy and dreary, but very clear walk.

Amazingly sunny today, but another Pineapple Express or something is moving in early next week. Went to one local town and walked along the lake.

Today is my 61st birthday so I ran a 6.1k. PHEW. It was pretty plodding, but I did it!

Sundays are my bonus days. Donā€™t have to go to the gym, but I usually go and do some cardio and abs. Today is warm! 63 degrees this morning in contrast to the 17* degree windchill earlier this week. Prefer the 17 I do! The gym was warm and I sweat a ton in the 40 min on the stairmonster. The steps get slippery

I ran 3.5 miles today. My route was around a nearby lake where I often run. I had heard something about a ā€œdip and saunaā€ and on my run I passed by 2 portable saunas and saw a bunch of women emerging in bathing suits. sure enough, they went into the lake for a dip. It was 37 degrees which is actually not considered that cold here!

Iā€™ll stick to running and walking.

Years ago my kids did a polar plunge (on the coldest/windiest day in the eventā€™s history). They had to stand in line a long time because it was timed such that each person could go directly from the water to one of the portable hot tubs (I think for 2 minutes?). My kids donā€™t usually like advice from mom, but they thanked me later for the suggestion to bring blankets and to wear shoes from the car to the beach.

I mean, cold plunge is such a ā€œhotā€ thing right now! So many people actually buying plunge units for their homes.

Rained all morning so got out late for the walk.

One of my exercise programmers, who moved from the SF Bay Area to NC, bought one of those cold plunge tubs within the past few months, and heā€™s a big believer in cold plunges. He wakes up, goes outside on his porch, drops into the tub, and thereā€™s snow on the ground!

But thereā€™s no way Iā€™m doing it. Iā€™d probably have a coronary plunging my body in ice.

Sundayā€™s are also a ā€œbonus dayā€ for me too. Usually, Iā€™ll run, but today I bench pressed and then my HIIT was:

100 Wall Balls
100 Toes-to-bar(s)
100 KB Swings
100 Calories on the air bike

30 minutes or less was the goal and I just barely made it. By like 2-3 seconds.

Wow! Good Job! Did you break all that up into smaller sets? T2B are my nemesis! I would never be able to do 100 in a row! 10 of each movement times 10 rounds would be how I would tackle that one!

5.5 miles today. I am part of an online fitness group doing a ā€˜Merry Fitmasā€™ challenge so then I did 3 rounds of 1 min jump rope, 1 min sit ups, 1 min plank, 1 min push ups. Phew!

Iā€™m in the desert so my scenery is quite different from most!
