You've messed up on one week of reading; should you read the text or review book?

We all know that sometimes we run out of time to read assigned reading from the text. In this case, should you do your best to catch up on the reading you should have done over the week (which takes fairly long) or simply read the review book and stay on top of next week's reading?

Basically, should you try to catch up and fill the holes or just jump and move along with the class? (With respect to APUSH, more specifically)

if you have time to spare:
read the whatever you were suppose to read in the text another day

if you don’t have time:
review book…and stay on top of next week’s reading

I really really know what you mean (APUSH).

I’m going to go over chapters 7 and 8 because I was really slacking off this last week. Luckily, though, I have thanksgiving vacation right now, and plenty of time to do it.

It depends on your review book. That’s what I had done, but now I’m going to read the text. If you use AMSCO, then I’d say the review book idea is fine, but read the text if you get the chance.

APUSH, joy, I’m in it too.

I would read the review book, read the regular assignment for week, and then go back to the textbook to get more details.

you can’t possibly be that busy that you don’t have time to read for AP US History.

However, here’s the breakdown:
reading the review book = skimming the textbook
skimming the review book = looking at the headers of the textbook
looking at the headers of the review book = looking at the pictures in the textbook

just not reading = using what you should already know (about half the material)

That was probably one of the easiest AP classes I’ve taken. Hardest would be AP Lit.
