sadly few people post the negatives, so you sit here thinking everyone is getting yesses but you, the math however says only about 1/3 ( or less) of total applicants pass a prescreen at each school and less than 10% get accepted into the BFA/BM programs in nearly every school, the people who post their stories that share all the negatives have been most helpful over the past 2 years but human nature is to share the good news not the bad, I have another child applying to a NON MT program and the posts on that thread would make you think every kid getting in to this State school has 1400+ SAT scores 30+ ACT scores and 3.9+ GPA, but then you look at the average acceptance scores for that school last year & its around 3.4GPA & 1200 SAT/27 ACTS…I value all i have learned from CC but its not the whole picture,
we had very mixed pre screen results and got a BFA MT acceptance from Belmont, so hang in there we are still just in the 3rd inning of the 9 inning game
