06 Grad Found Dead

Not exactly relevant to the application process or other posts here, but…

As of earlier today, one of my classmates was found dead just off the coast of Pensacola. His name is John Alley. The details surrounding his death are bizarre. He was last seen Friday afternoon as he was leaving his pilot training base. His crashed car was found Saturday morning, with his belongings inside. The crash was not life-threatening. No one saw him again until his body was found today. He was a really good person. Unfortunately, in addition to everyone else he leaves behind, he was a newlywed and his wife is 4 months pregnant.

Here’s a web site with more information, including a few news clips. His family set it up right after he went missing. [2nd Lt. John Alley | March 28, 1982 - May 2008](http://helpfindjohn.info/)

Please keep his family in your thoughts.

A toast to a fallen grad…

Jesus.... Lt. Alley you are in my daily prayers. I bet twenty or so years from now. Those of us that are trying to get into the Academy, will be Academy grads, maybe Majors or Colonels, trying to help a kid get into the Academy and this kid tells us, my dad graduated from the Academy, and I never met him.
-God Bless him and his family.

I read about this earlier today - absolutely terrible news. My heart goes out to the young LT's family. A toast...

I wonder if any foul play was involved

Please vist the website. If you feel inclined you can make a donation to this young family in their time of need.

A toast, to the host...

(that's from the Air Force Song)

That's really sad, I can't imagine how his wife must feel...

I'll join in that toast, and a prayer for his family

this kind of stuff always makes me wonder "wow...i wonder if that will happen to me one day".

this sure is a real shame...my prayers will be with the family.
