1,296 ACT Practice Questions From PR

Is this a good book? Is it harder or easier than the real tests?

Thanks for the feedback!

Yes
About the same =)

English and science are a little harder in 1296.

Watch out for mistakes because there are LOADS of them.

I just finished the first practice test. The math portion has tons of mistakes/typos, and the science portion is a little hard.

yo swift which numbers have errors? I took the test last weekend and didn’t score a 36, which is a problem. Maybe the ones i got wrong had errors in them.

For the math section of practice one, the answers for number 49 & 58 are wrong. I don’t know if number 44 is an error or not, but it’s like impossible to find the height of the trapezoid.

^ I KNOW! The english and reading sections are harder. But I have been scoring 32+ ever since the beginning. The answer is (almost) always the most succinct answer!

Yea im getting high scores on english, math and reading, but the science is pretty hard.

i got a 31 on the english in this book…what do you think that means on the actual test?

English in here was weird. The rhetorical questions threw me off because they were too repetitive. Usually, there are various kinds of rhetorical questions, but 1296 has the same ones over and over again. I’d say if you got a 31 in here, you have the ability to score a 36 on the real thing.

how long r the lines in the readin section on the real test? like in the 1296 they give u 90+ sometimes

It’s just a little harder.

PR’s science is generally harder.

for the reading section i got 10 wrong, which would possibly give me a 27,but on the practice test that i took from the red book i got a 30…

yip yip did u finish all the questions… i use the strategies from the barrons 36 and always come up short on the last passage in terms of time.

^i always don’t have enough time to finish the last passage, which is the science passage.i really want a 33+.
now i want to try a new way…: do the science passage first, because it requires a lot of time to search for the details that will often be asked, and spend a little more time on this passage…

do you think it’s going to work better?

it should

It is much easier to bs the prose

@swiftjab I spent 10 minutes trying to find the height of the trapezoid with some crazy Pythagroean Thereom system of equations, but to no avail. This is terrible editing. I’m pretty sure 44 and 56 are impossible as well.
