1 AP Junior Year?

I am planning on taking one AP my junior year. AP US History. At my school, APUSH is extremely hard and very very demanding and we must dedicate hours every day. The reason I don't want to take another AP with APUSH was because I thought I wouldn't be able to maintain good grades in both. Will 1 AP Junior Year look bad( with apush i am also taking 2 honors classes) ? I am taking 4 APs during my senior year.

You should do it the other way around.

It’s odd that your school is making APUSH so unnecessarily difficult; although it isn’t an easy class, it’s definitely not hard. And honors courses definitely aren’t more difficult than regular courses, it’s just that the kids are usually more behaved. I was told by my teacher that Junior year is the year that I should start college, so if you’re up for a bit of a challenge, then take another AP, but an easier one, like AP Environmental Science, Human Geography, or Psychology, classes that are generally considered to be the easiest APs.

However, I advise you not to listen to semaphore12; your senior year should be as hard, or even harder, than all your other years in highschool, because the kids who want to “relax” during their Sr. year and take easy classes as a reward for making it through hs are complete idiots who are going to be utterly overwhelmed and unprepared when they go to college the following year, where all your classes will be APs, in a manner of speaking.

Anyways, the choice is yours. Sorry for prattling on, and I hope you work it out

I agree with Yeepski  hahaha.

But anyway, if you DON’T take another AP, it wouldn’t be entirely bad. An AP and two honors shows your promise. That’s the kind of schedule I had, and I got into good colleges just fine.

Just go with your gut and take classes that you think you can handle. I took AP World my junior year, and I thought it was easy enough. Got a 4 from just listening in class and flipping through a review. Just keep your options open.
