1 Recommendation from a humanities teacher..

I always thought of humanities as English and Social Studies. Problem is, I've never had a connection with any of my teachers from those subjects. The only other things I can see that could possibly fall under humanities that I could use would be my Spanish III Honors teacher junior year or my freshman Religion teacher.

But now, as I'm typing this, I just thought... My sophomore year biology teacher will be my AP Psychology teacher next year for half the year. My school has psych as a social studies, so if I happen to get him first semester maybe i'll ask him. Would that count as a humanities as well? (even though he will know me mostly from biology)

Spanish or religion would be fine.

You can use a teacher from any of the subjects contained in MIT’s School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences as your humanities recommender.

Ok so foreign language is definitely good. But Psycholgy is a “departure major”, so would that still be okay? And there is no majors in religion, hmph.
