Son's school will no longer offer AP classes in 10th grade. Before the only one they offered was AP BIO in 10th grade.
What AP courses do your schools offer to 10th graders?
This school does not offer music theory, ap art, european hx, but most of the others.

most schools don’t offer APs to 10th graders; ours really offers none to sophomores and very few to juniors (APUSH and the possibility of science APs, but only if you’re a year ahead). at my school, APs are mainly for seniors, and from what i can tell it’s like that at a lot of schools.

AP Euro and AP Computer Science

AP Euro and you can self study whatever else you like

AP Euro is the traditional 10th grade AP class. I did Calc BC, Physics B, and French Language (non-native) on top of that my sophomore year, since my school’s pretty liberal
(if you want to put it that way) about AP testing.

AP U.S. History and can self study for anything.

My school allowed a freshman to take AP Stats.

At my school, none, unless you manage to skip either the ninth or tenth grade required courses. Even then, it would only make one or two available.

World History is for sophomores.
Computer Science is for sophomores and up.
Spanish Language (Spanish 4) is for sophomores and up.

So the most anyone can have without skipping a year in something or self-studying at my school is 3.

^ That’s exactly mine, word for word. We may go to the same school district.

At my school, freshman can take AP human and APES
Sophomore: AP world, AP Euro, AP Comp Sci, AP bio, AP calc AB (not many ppl on this level)
Junior: AP Chem, AP Physics B, AP Stats, APUSH, AP lang. and Comp, AP Psych,
Senior: AP MAcro, AP US gov’t, AP Lit
We also have AP arts, AP French and Spanish, which can be taken at different points in time, based on the student’s knowledge of the language

Sophomores are only allowed AP US (US History is a Tenth grade subject here) and AP Stats (assuming you passed Algebra II as a Freshman and will take Pre-Calc at the same time or as a Junior). Juniors can take everything except AP Lit, Studio Art, and the Econs which are Senior classes.

At my school, advanced 10th graders can take AP Human Geography, World History, Statistics, and any online AP that they meet the prereqs for.

At my school, most sophomores are offered AP Euro.
some advanced kids in science take AP Bio/Chem/Physics
some advanced kids in language take AP Spanish Language.
Our school limits the AP classes to 3.

US Government and Politics for sophomores (in substitute of the American Government requirement). We can self-study anything, though.

I’m aware of some schools that have APES for 10th graders
