I am shooting for the Air Force Academy and aim to get ahead in Math. Summer programs would be extremely difficult due to a very busy summer and my councilor said one way I could do it was to double schedule math courses, here is a preview of my schedule, I want to know what sort of work load I am looking at.
Geometry Honors
Algebra II Honors
English 10 Honors
Chemistry Honors
AP European History
Spanish III
PE (1st Semester is Study hall)
Symphonic Band
No lunch. School ends at 2:21 and I have track practice until 5. My weekends are mostly free as well. Thanks in advance,
Looks good. Geometry and Algebra 2 are classes that don’t depend on each other most of the time. A few topics from Geometry may show up in A.2 but it won’t be too hard to catch up to. There are a lot of proofs in Geometry and Algebra 2 is a bit harder than Algebra 1 but I took academic courses so I can’t say how hard you’ll have it.
Honors Chem is a lot harder than CPA Chem (College Prep Academic) from what I’ve heard. APEH is a lot of facts and events, like any AP history course. Overall, evaluate your strengths and weakness and drop if needed.
Good luck!
My friend did Geo and Alg II in the same year and she survived. Shouldn’t be too bad. Props to you for wanting to be ahead. Make sure you are 100% serious in an AP Class though. Don’t get behind.
