I am currently a sophomore and trying to decide my classes for next year. I am planning on majoring in education in college; I want to be an elementary school teacher. Which classes would be best for me?
Here are my options:
English- IB Language and Literature HL or English 11
(I am currently in English 10H and I find it very easy, because I have an easy teacher- he doesn’t even give us homework, we had only four grades last quarter. I am not sure if I am ready for IB.
SS- US History or IB History of the Americas HL
(I am taking Global History this year and it is pretty easy, but I heard that IB HOTA is difficult, I am leaning more towards US History.)
Science- Physics, AP/IB Bio HL, AP/IB Physics HL, IB ESS SL, AP/IB Chem SL
(I am in Chem H right now, it is very hard. I don’t think I will do Chem next year. I also don’t want to take AP/IB Physics. I think I will either do Bio or ESS. Does it look bad if I do ESS though? If I don’t take physics, will I have to take it in college?)
it is called AP/IB because we take the ap and ib exam by the way.
Math- Precalc, IB Math Application SL
(I take algebra 2 and it is extremely easy; I may take IB next year, but if I do, will I be prepared for AP Calc AB senior year?)
Language- Mandarin 4 or IB Mandarin HL
(I will probably take IB as mandarin has always been my easiest class, is it very difficult?)
I also am considering take IB French Ab Initio, and/or IB Anthropology SL, how are those classes?
